OTB is Out of the Blue. It's the name of my company and we also produce limited edition vinyl records. Have a look at the Gary Numan/Tubeway Army pressings we have produced: www.facebook.com/groups/108365995861050/

Kevin,
Rather pointless to boast about a single which your clients/associates will only sell on ebay.
BTW, I can produce ltd edition vinyl singles too. Licensed even! But I wouldn't come onto a collectors forum to tease with a product that no-one here can purchase (at least not first-hand).
Pretty poor form.

Fair point and I understand your point of view. The purpose of informing collectors is because there will always be rumours pertaining to such items plus I'm giving one away.
However, because of your comments I will close my account on here.

It was a bit odd of him to show up here inquiring about the state of the collectors market and then all of a sudden try to hawk a "limited edition" 7". Of course, through no fault of their own, some members here gladly provided "themaster" info on items and their potential worth. Anyone worth their salt would be wise enough to steer clear of this 7" that's been offered up.

Hey wait! I didn't say anything. I would love a chance to get one, since I will never be able to afford to buy one for whatever they wind up selling for! PM me if you are still here about how you plan to do the giveaway. PLEASE.

i spoke to the guy via pm and his project is apparently legit/properly licensed. the thing that is crappy is how he came here, pumped us for info and then dangled that in our faces. knowing that he wouldn't make any available to us, save one for his 'giveaway'
i suspect it was just a way for him to try and get traffic on his forum.
i don't think he has any ill intent to now go and bootleg the most rare dd items and sell them back to us. but i do think that coming here and essentially rubbing in his putting out a ltd release that the most hardcore collectors in the world won't get until it's being flogged by his clients/associates, who likely don't give a toss about duran duran, on ebay is quite shit. it's funny really, for most people these days if someone gives you a record that is numbered/limited you're going to look at it and think; what the hell am i going to do with this? how many people even have turntables these days? i bet out of 50 copies, at least 1/3 to 1/2 would eventually end up on ebay or just tossed into a pile of crap and forgotten.
>>all of a sudden try to hawk a "limited edition"
i wish. at least if he tried to sell us all copies, it wouldn't have sucked so hard. the fact that he didn't try to hawk copies is what pisses me off...i'd gladly pay a fair price for something that was limited like that. but the fact he showed up and told us all about what we can't have really grinds my gears!
