How do you add an attachment, anyway? you have to use a full reply. hit the reply button on the bottom right side. if you write your reply to the ongoing thread in the quick reply, which is the one at the end of the thread, the option to add an attachment isn't given to you. if you hit the quote button it brings it up too.

Here is my Arcadia Longbox Beautiful, thanks for the pic! I see that it uses the revamped artwork matching a UK Parlophone reissue CD I have, and not the original cover (or did the UK version always have a different cover than the US CD/worldwide LP release)? My UK CD does say 1985, with no other (reissue) year shown...I just always assumed it was a budget reissue. What country/year is yours from? Thought that was the case. Thanks! I did forget about the Arcadia one! So there were some full artwork longboxes in '85, at least from Capitol. Shame though...would have been cool to see what could have been done with the great Rio and 7ATRT artwork in the longbox shape! Really? I could have sworn that Arena and maybe Power Station had full artwork @ some point. I remember seeing some of the albums and not buying them and then when I went to get them, I noticed some of the boxes changed. I do not remember which. I just believe that in this day and age there would be at least one pic of any D2/related longbox on the internet findable by search, and that otherwise it probably never existed. That said, I couldn't find the Arcadia one and yet slebono came through with proof, so maybe (although his used the later revamped artwork and so might not be from '85)...certainly the Power Station could be a candidate, but as for Arena, I just don't think they were doing full art longboxes at all in 1984. I think it began in late '85...but someone might put up a pic any time from their personal collection to prove me wrong!

to my knowledge, there was no arcadia cd issue any where in the world before 1987. i have an emi catalog that i got from the office in london which has a small image of the cover and assigns it a catalog number in a section titled COMING SOON, but the actual disc never came out. that catalog is SUMMER 1987. the cd was pushed back several times and then cancelled for a while before finally being issued.
i'd love to see info that shows more about the history of SO RED THE ROSE on cd!!

I was about to say, I KNOW there was no CD earlier than that. I was waiting for it to come out and I didn't even have a CD player for a long time. I didn't get the 3" singles for IDWYL, DYBIS and ASWI because I didn't have a CD player yet. I am fairly sure Arcadia came out on CD when I was visiting a friend and I am trying to remember when that was. I want to say 1990.
Actually, looking it up on Discgos, it lists Japan as 1990 and US as 1991.

I have this one. The only other one I have is the reissue from 2001. Anyway, I have the first one you mentioned without the clear center from Germany. Possibly a silly question, but can you both remember where (country) and when (year) you bought this PolyGram CD? And was it packed in a blister pack?

Why did you throw the box away? Would you mind to tell me what was in the box? CD made in? Matrix? Cover printed in? Barcode? Thank you!! Did anyone know 20 odd years ago, longboxes would be collectable? I assumed it would be the Kershenbaum version, which hadnt been released in UK. Rio CD W German pressing CD, Sonopress B-6073/CDP7460032 Capitol label on sleeve, printed in US, no barcode Weird..... Yes, weird, but somehow I expected something like this! Oddly, your sleeve doesn't have a barcode! Haven't seen a US printed cover without a barcode, yet! Would you mind to upload a picture of this? Thanks in advance!!!

Mine came opened in excellent, but used condition off Evil-Bay.
