Picked this up for 70p in a charity shop in Warwickshire - which is bizarre in itself but anyone know the story behind it - why wasnt it a straight Capitol release? cheers!

BMG was a mail-order music club which offered introductory incentives (10 CDs/cassettes for a buck!) as a means of hooking new customers who would then be forced to buy a specific amount of albums at a much higher price. Many of these record club releases featured poor quality mastering (when compared to the actual album), a dearth of liner notes, etc...Your copy of Decade (as with the CD/DVD version of Greatest my aunt gave me for Xmas a few years ago) is probably not worth the 70p you paid for it, but it can still be fun as a collector to sometimes pick up these anomalies.
BMG closed up shop a couple of years ago.
