Yep but emi like money..... Band have forgotten about, doubt its high on radar given new lp. Theyre more busy thinking how much they can flog the deluxe edition lp for I don't think these RSD releases make record companies much money, especially when completely new mixing or mastering is required (as would be the case for an AVTAK 12"). DD (that is, NR) will probably be more interested in vinyl releases of Medazzaland and Pop Trash. All the old stuff has been remastered over the years so that should't really be a problem and other bands have released some very cool stuff over the years on RSD. Lots of things that were never released before. In comparison to that the DD RSD releases have been rather poor.

One idea would be to let someone else finance the vinyl pressing. After RSD that same someone could provide a digital master to the record company so they could publish the mix digitally. Future(digital) rights would also belong to the record company. The vinyl pressing could be lucrative as well. A 2000 run would sell out I think, especially if it contains something previously unreleased. How many of the past RSD releases were pressed ?

I would also appreciate a 10" with Beautiful Colours properly released on the A side and Beautiful Colours live during the reunion tour as the B side (which they definately recorded).

I bet one day it will surface, a friend suggested this could be a great opportunity for the next Record Store Day. I agree! On silver coloured vinyl in a die cut gatefold sleeve please! ;-) Anyone else has seen this: --- duran2.net/news_eng.html---
