I really like it as well; more Simon would be nice but this is Charli's song featuring Simon LeBon. His contribution is outstanding. I hope this vocal style is heavily featured on the new album. Very strong work from Simon.

Simon's part is good--wish he sang with lordes not Charlie--she is okay but Lordes is a million times better!!! Definitely more cow bells I mean more Simon!!!

Bloody awful. The song is boring and Simon sounds weird - not sure what they've done to his vocals. Seriously, not sure why he even bothered.

The song is SO simple! His part is worthless, I won't even bother adding this to my DD collection.
I hope he doesn't sing that way in the new album, he used to play much more with his voice in albums like The Wedding Album or Thank you and I loved it, it was like having a different singer for each song. Now he's just in a comfort zone.

Love it, very Lordeesque and modern minimal. Simon sounds great.

Perhaps listen to the song as intended as part of the movie would be slightly appropriate before judging it?

Perhaps listen to the song as intended as part of the movie would be slightly appropriate before judging it? I didn't need to watch A View To A Kill to know that the theme song was amazing - I just had to listen to it. And I certainly won't need to watch the Hunger Games film to know that this Kingdom song is utter tosh.

While this is in no way in the same league A View to a Kill, I liked Kingdom the first time that I heard it and like it even more each listen. It is a playful, haunting song that is designed to fit this movie. I agree that a more substantial contribution by Simon would have been welcome but what he does do is exceptional. Simons voice is a unique one; when he "on" it's incredibly distinct, powerful and effective. When he's "off" it can be somewhat whiney, nasal and thin. Here he is absolutely "on"; his voice is rich, expressive and strong. I do hear a bit of manipulation but more to affect the mood of the song, not the quality of his voice. In the end this this is a very good song, not a great one. It's not a Duran Duran song or a Simon Lebon song; it's a Lorde/Charli XCX song that will give Simon, and the band some exposure to many who thought they disappeared in the 80's.

Maybe I'm seeing it wrong but on Spotify it isn't included on the soundtrack.
