I think this is a live version that was performed during the Thank You tour?

Yup. Don't think a studio version ever surfaced.

I believe there is a demo studio version available. Have to confirm on my IPOD later.

I always wished PL You was the first single off Medazzaland. I believe at the time (in 1995) Medazzaland was supposed to be a lot rockier and kinda more punky sounding album - a perfect follow up to the Wedding Album. DD were going through this hard rock/punk phase in '95. Remember HLTW'95? And Simon's outfits? Then once breakbeat/big beat stuff (like Prodigy and Chemical Brothers) became big in US and Europe by '96, guys changed their minds...and the album got delayed until the end of '97. Shame that stuff like Plastic Girl & Sinner or Saint never made it on the album..

P.L.You is on there, but so is Midnight Sun, Medazzaland, Out Of My Mind, Who Do You Think You Are, etc... I can tell you the album was almost the same at that point as to the final product we got. There was a lot of synths, mellow songs, etc... I also have a few songs that I dont think anyone ever heard (unless you have these recordings - which i know some of you do. These songs include "Magick Pill" and "Tabula Rasa". Anyway - the album was NEVER going to be a more "rockier" album than what we got really.

This sounds like an average high school band. It's awful.

ahhh that song "People Like You" I remember when my bros and I bought their THANK YOU album and we all wanted to start a band. Yeah I remember on z-100 John Taylor said in 1996 that it was going to be a rock album. but on January of 1997 he left the band. I really liked that line up, they really looked like a rock band that would play stuff like KORN but w/ Simon singing anyway, when i had a copy of medazzaland, i was disappointed at the finished product and wondered what happened to (1) Ball n Chain (2) People like You (3) Plastic Girl (4) Sinner Or Saint.... ball n chain ended up in the JP version of the album. I did manage to record my own Demo album of "Medazzaland" as a homage to the MEDAZZA DEMOS which had a raw rock sound. and here's my demo of PEOPLE LIKE YOU soundcloud.com/deltacolony/bonus-fernando-people-want-you

I remember an interview from May '95 - Nick said that we can expect a new album at the beginning of '96.
