To answer the original question, I"m guessing that they post what they play each night for both the people online who are curious enough to see what it is every time, and also for the people who went to their only show and may be curious about what they heard at the show. It goes both ways. I've seen 3 shows on this leg and spoke with one of the FOH guys. It's a very demanding show production wise. It's by far the most choreographed production of their career due to the video, effects, and remixes used throughout the show. That makes sense. And whenever I see the 'video' aspect brought up on other message boards, there's a few comments from fans saying "Drop the videos! just play on a barren stage, I don't care!" But DD's always incorporated some form of video and technology into most of their performances when they had the chance, which isn't too different from other bands their size. I'm sure a place like House of Blues or a small club could give some sort of flexibility, but even when they did that in 2011, there was maybe one song change a night, if any.

I can see both arguments. On one side, the same songs make the set predictable and not so much fun. But I guess if they went into a rare song and did a bad job of it, or the SLB voice cracks a bit, the forums would be "SLB Loses it during X". I would love to see Late Bar and Girl Panic interchangeable, or something like that, but lets not grind these guys down with the touring, and just make it as easy as possible, so they have the energy to keep going. Hopefully they will be so bored of playing these songs it will give them the change to really break out and shake down a new album is a few years? I agree fans can be staunch when it comes to perfection, but it depends on the song, and surprises are better when they are a surprise. But perhaps after several years of bad reviews in their career, perhaps DD are just happy to ride the wave to stay (in)credible for now.

Heard another group say that any changeup in the list causes issues with sound people and lighting folks, I watched the lighting guy close at Charlotte and he had his hands full most of the time.

I think you're right and there may be a few small changes between breaks. I do like a lot of it, but Reflex is one that must be played. I would like to hear Skin Trade.

There was a change for NOLA! Wild Boys went from song 2 to closing the main set.

What will they do when they go on the greatest hits tour? Play most of the same damn songs they play now.

There was a change for NOLA! Wild Boys went from song 2 to closing the main set. I noticed that immediately and my first thought was that it would've been easier to not play WB when it was at the end of the show instead of at the beginning IF Simon felt he was not up to make it.

I was thinking of going to the LA show for that very reason.
But if I suffered the expense and time off from work and cross country flight for the same old...that wouldn't be fun...

Serious question: why is it important to you guys that they change the setlist? Isn’t an ever-changing setlist only beneficial to those that see every show? Are you hoping with a changing setlist that the chance increases that they will play your favorite song? Is it a matter of making the show you attend feel more unique and custom (“Life isn’t standard issue it’s customized”)?
