This.... :-) A friend of mine, also from Holland, has got it in his collection. Wow Peter.....how I would Love to be in that 'shot' with you....One of the MOST memorable moments in Duran's video history to me is the one of John in the 'AVTAK' shooting with that prop/piece and then doing the blink of the eye. Can you tell a bit more about how that piece came into the hands/ collection of the other Dutch fan? Would love to hear more on that...

Wow! And the design is truly special. I love how the design mimics the 81-82 era. I imagine it will change to reflect the time frame the chapter is covering? I too am an art director/designer as a profession, and have to credit the incredible work of Malcolm Garrett/Assorted Images as my inspiration. I also love how each piece is given its own page and is very elegantly and simply placed on the page, with all sides represented, honoring the piece as an artifact. The object is the focus of the layout, and it makes it easy for the viewer to study each piece. Really great work. Thank you for doing this, Tim and Pierre! Exceptional work! That means A LOT to me coming from another designer Thnx for your very kind words...I hope you like what I did to the other parts as well. Its exactly going to be like you said...Every part will mimic/follow the design of that time period...its been a lot of work figuring out the correct fonts that were used, re-making a lot of logos and icons and fonts in Illustrator and making sure the whole thing has some sort of continuous design line along each part as well. The praise is well earned! I'm looking forward to seeing the rest!

My friend Dennis bought it from someone who put it for sale on Marktplaats. And as far i understood the seller won this prop in a contest held by a pop magazine. Can't tell you if it was Popfoto, Hitkrant or Muziekexpress. To Tim: i can imagine you thought Dennis is from Belgium, he's actually from Zuid Limburg which is very close to Belgium. ;-)

Yeah, i'd like to hope that it's just for kicks & giggles, but i suspect it's actually out of spite.

Nudge nudge. Go on!! Dry shampoo, prosecco and an open mind. Brilliant comedy tent, interviews and discussions in minefield for when you just wanna chill....sooo much fun and zero responsibility. Slight bonus (understatement) our favourite band is playing

Now more pressingly.... hands up here who hasn't become the embodiment of John Taylor whilst perched at the summit of the Eiffel Tower?? ...only to discover the real viewfinder is used as some spurious neighbourhood watch device by our Dutch neighbours. Is it pay per view boys?!! Only i'd been saving some money for the shoeshine boy!

The hires PDF is amazing. Great how the design captures the period too! Love it, thanks so much, the passion really shines through!
