Okay, I believe we're putting our heads somewhat on the block for posting this, especially after another Duran Duran tribute band recently asked for an opinion of their particular efforts and the lead singer was shot down for sounding more like Andy Wickett than the living legend that is Simon Le Bon! Not sure if he took that as compliment, I guess not as he quickly deleted his post! duranduranboard.proboards.com/post/393506/threadAnyway, we'd love to hear back from you guys about our particular Duran Duran tribute band, the good, the bad and indifferent! We're pretty thick skinned, at least I think we are, so be honest and let us know whether we do Birmingham's Fab 5 any justice or not! By no means are we look alikes, but we do our best to recreate the sounds, energy and charisma of the band we are so passionate about. Do check out the following links for our Facebook page and website, and let us know what you think! www.facebook.com/durantributeband/www.durandurantribute.co.ukAnd some videos from our last gig at The Musician in Leicester (not the best audio quality!) www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsX42DcvmfooaUZLLGq_fITqU2CkpSd4oThanks.

Outstanding! It's quite a task to imitate Simon and this does the trick very nicely, with some occasional creative flourishes for good measure. Excellent guitar, bass and drums, and the keyboard player did an amazing job of recreating the original sounds. Nice backing vocals and she looks hot too As for criticisms - the singer should be pulling his mic back at least a foot or more for the very loud whoo's in the middle and ending of Hungry, and the guitar player should try to improve his tone and rhythm on Girls On Film.

I'm not a great critic as I don't like to be critical of people's efforts, especially when they're doing way better than I would do. HST, as far as a Duran tribute band goes this sounds really great. Simon's vocals would be the place where a tribute band would be likely to stray (since he's got unique vocal qualities) and the front man handles the vocals very well. It seems he's got some of those key vocal qualities naturally which is definitely a plus. The instrumentation is very much on par with their sound. I thought the performances I listened to were really close to their sound (in fact HLTW was the first one I listened to and I was trying to decide if he was lip syncing or actually singing since it sounded so close in parts). Really good effort.

Rich is a big fan of Andy's work with DD, Power Station and his solo work, he'll be pleased to hear your comments! I'll let him know. Thank you.

Thank you zealous, that's very kind of you. I guess being fans of DD for all these years helps us to pick up on the way they perform and play. They are such a talented group of musicians that are hard to replicate well. We just love playing their music and try to do so with a similar amount passion that they do. We're just so grateful of the amazing back catalogue of songs they've written over the past 4 decades, such a diversity of styles and sounds!

I thought you sounded great. In particular, it sounded very much like SLB. If you came to Bristol, I'd definitely come to watch!
