I'm posing this question to some of the music forums I frequent. This has nothing absolutely whatever to do with music, but I thought I'd throw this out here and see if anyone here can point me in the right direction. There is a website I want to order items from but this company will only ship within the EU. They ship items via UPS or DHL. They have said in their FAQ that if you want items sent to a packing station, then choose DHL I am aware of this practice with this one site out of Japan, but wanted to know of anyone has knowledge of one that handles stuff out of Europe (specifically Germany)?

In Germany, those DHL Packstationen are used when you are (let's say) not much at home. You can let your package be delivered to such a Packstation in your near, get an info when it is delivered, and pick it up (24 hours a day) within the next 9 days by having a loyalty card and a special PIN number. I am not using these staions, but I am pretty sure my brother does. As far as I know, these DHL Packstationen are *not* in your country! This is a DHL service for Germany, possibly also for the EU, but I am pretty sure for Germany only. But you know, that you can always count on me. If you want a shipment from Germany, you can always let it send over to me, and I'll get it to you! That's what friends do ... right? Let me know via PM or email if there is something I can do for you!

Well, I don't want you to have to foot any large postal cost, that's why I was trying to look into a packing station to spare you the inconvenience. I'm assuming these packing stations can be used as a way around companies that won't ship outside of the EU and that once the package has arrived at this packing station, it can then be mailed to the person outside of the EU. I know I've seen this practice for countries in Asia, so surely there must be something like it over there?

That's what DHL says on their site about their Packstation: - Open around the clock - Always close by, with almost 3,000 Packstations *across Germany*- No extra costs Cant't find something for UPS Germany either! I searched google... this might be something you are looking for, but I have *no* experiences with this, and they seem to have limited brands --- www.borderlinx.com/US/en/--- www.borderlinx.com/en/brands---

But I just found another parcel forwarding company called mygermany.com/, so I think this is sorted now.

I don't know if I'll be ordering anything soon from Germany, but at least I know I have an alternate option for getting things.

Packing station reminds me of medical courier Dallas. It was a long time ago when I was looking for med deliveries for sending it to my granny. For making the parcel interesting whenever it was delayed by me, I would write ‘sorry the packing station was busy making friends on social media’. All her anger would go down. It was fun time that I had with my granny.
