I remember they actually had a shortage a programming at first & filled the airtime up with some cartoonish type loops. The world's first screensavers.

Yeh know, todays kids don't even know what it's like to live without their MTV....or cell phones.....or computers....or 24 hour telivision.....weird huh?

Thanks for the list, Stupe. I remember someone from MTV mentioning that their catalog consisted of a handful of videos, two dozen of them were Rod Stewart...lol.

The MTV veejays have really changed throughout the years. (Do they even use veejays anymore?) The earlier ones had knowledge and a love for music...I can't say the same about the later ones. LaLa? Sway? Hilarie Burton (now on "One Tree Hill")? Nope.

ever since they put the reality programming into full swing on that channel, i quit watching it.

i'd probably be more apt to watch VH-1, VH-1 Classics or The Tube before putting MTV on....
