Karen - send him the questions, I am certain everyone will be disappointed with the vague information you might eventually get from him. Ha! That made me lol! Quality and fair play to the man. He doesn't have to divulge anything just to satisfy our compulsive needs and why would he any way? Surely that would be unprofessional and he could be liable to be sued with regards to this certain album. Different scenario if it had been released but this is unique. On the other hand any vague answers would be a blessing to read... I sincerely hope one day some of it reaches our ears. Who wouldn't want to hear the last songs ever made by the original line up? Well, those vague answers will keep this board guessing and discussing for another 10 plus years....

I've personally tried contacting him about Reportage as well. I wonder if he's not allowed to discuss it?

Well MP now has 25 of our questions and an IG message that I’ve sent them via his official site. Hopefully we get some answers, vague or not, with a helpful push from leszels.

Well they had their lead/first single in Beautiful Colours so never understood the comments by Sony. Maybe Reportage will see the light of day and probably turning out to be not that great...

I thought Beautiful Colours was from the Astronaut sessions? And they played that on the 2003-04 reunion tour? I never thought of it as being part of the 2006 Patterson sessions...or are you suggesting they should have just put it on Reportage to shut the label up? I think that’s actually a brilliant idea...unfortunately that song fell out of favor with the band - or some in the band...it also got exposure as the soundtrack for a FIFA video too? So the fact that it was already “out there” would probably have been an issue for them too. But it’s still a fascinating scenario to consider...

Well the anticipation of the fans with this album is so great it probably won't live up to it. But it would be great to hear it one day. Beautiful Colours was indeed from the Astronaut sessions. DD barely ever pick up an unfinished or unreleased song and put it on their next album. Actually the band has a very different way of working than most bands do. They just come together and begin with zero and see where they end. Well they had their lead/first single in Beautiful Colours so never understood the comments by Sony. It certainly would not have sounded more different from the rest of those sessions that the planned Timbalake lead single...

Still hoping for a "Duranthology" release of unreleased tracks even if it's not a full album of Reportage. Still so many to choose from.
