Thanks for sharing Dew, great to see RT discussing why and how he loves what he actually loves.
Ohh and you are awfully observant re the GQ mag, I bet you don't miss much in life & good for you.
It wouldn't surprise me if that is Mr Ronson on the cover of that issue yet I could be wrong?
Personally I think BC is not quite finished and I have always felt the chorus let's it down a little, you described it as flat, and it had never occurred to me yet I now see that.
I do think BC has a killer verse and beat tho.
However it's middle 8 isn't as evident while its chorus isn't as strong like most DD songs are. I think the songs fades too ordinarily for a DD song also.
But what do I know ? Going by the many who love it I could totally wrong.
In Dec 2003 I was fortunate enough to score a ticket to the most intimate DD gig I have ever attended at the 2,000 seater Sydney Enmore Theatre
When SLB introduced that they were going to play a new song i was like OMG & the anticipation was incredible.
When BC began I loved it's jagged type riff n grove which I'm sure ATs & his guitar played a major role in.
It sounded cool and it was great to hear DD play an unreleased song coz up until then I'd only ever seen them perform thier actual released songs.
If any song is missing from the Astro LP, I feel it has to be VIRUS, I guess I'm drawn to the darker DD stuff.
