I was a fan of Beautiful Colors, but the live version rather than the studio one. The live version with the distorted guitars and a vibrant rhythm section was to me, full of energy. You can even notice it from the bad quality recordings available on YouTube. I feel that it didn't translate well to the studio version. Something similar happens with What Happens Tomorrow. It sort of reminds me of PL YOU too

It should be a record store day release. But probably never will be. Sure release Rio 😂

It sort of reminds me of PL YOU too I enjoy What Happens Tomorrow. That song and Sunrise are both positive with their messages - ‘Live for today’. I recall feeling deflated that Warren had gone - but at the same time I also felt optimistic that we were going to get a lot of great music from 5 band members who were reading from the same page. Surely they were going to read from the same page if they’d gone as far being a unit once again? Andy is not my 1st choice as a DD guitarist but at least he brought some charisma to the stage and an equal share in song writing. I was thinking ‘yeah, ok, we’ll squeeze four or five albums out of these guys. They must have plenty of ideas after all this time. Lots to say and all that.’ I suppose my negativity comes from the never ending wait for that killer album. Sure AYNIN is a great album. I love it. But it’s not a killer. Maybe I’m expecting too much?

I have never come across a live recorded version directly from console. I'd love to hear one if it exists. If it was part of the setlist during the Live from London shows, there's a possibility it was recorded, right? Fingers crossed...

I drove 15 hours to see the reunion gig in Detroit where BC was played. It was a great song played live, good enough that it should have made the album, and it’s a shame it didn’t. We may have found a topic that we mostly agree on!

We may have found a topic that we mostly agree on! The show in Royal Oak! I was there! Andy was rocking that night! It was a great gig! Very intimate!

Lovely video. This shows the full potential the reunited fab 5 line up had. Some of the songs from that time are really great (Nice, Taste the Summer, Pretty Ones). They should have worked on those unreleased songs after Astronaut, with another album of the songs demoed released in 2005 or so. Like they did in 81-82. Not polish everything to death, go for ‘a different sound’ and (worst of all) bring in producers to increase the momentum for the so lucrative US market.
