Paper Gods was way over produced aswell. Just sounds so.. fake? There’s no rawness to it. It lacks warmth and charisma. I wished DD would take note of what the fans say - especially the critical fans who aren’t interested in what their backsides look like. I’m talking about the fans who listen to every single background effect and go deeper. Not the ‘we love you Roger and we’ll enjoy whatever you play!!’ brigade. Lol I also love AYNIN but Poptrash was the last album that was nearly close to excellent. I've also noticed the in the last 3 albums that Simon's voice is way over processed, it sounds to harsh and edgy, too much middle range. I don't see SLBs vocal recording as much of an issue with the last three DD LPs yet I do see it awfully evident on the Astronaut LP Dunno but SLBs voice sounds higher on Astro, Its as if they may have tweaked it to make him/DD sound like a younger band. Its hard to explain
