What a shame that Sterling only plays on maybe two of the actual songs on the album. He sounds amazing on the clip. Was that Chris Kinsey’s choice to use programmed drum tracks rather than Sterling? Why become a five piece again and then continue to rely on drum machines? Great

Not sure why ? This VIDEO is "great" Simon is "dancing like a goofball" JT is inaudible and playing with a PICK.. weak.... Warren is "wagging his D i c k " around and just making "noise" Nick is doing "nothing" Sterling is BASHING the drums so HARD you can barely hear ANYTHING else. Thank GOD they did NOT "tour" this mess.... At YOUR Liberty.......

But we cannot judge what the Liberty Tour could have been seeing this, cos that's obviously not even a rehearsal. That looks like the "we just plug in" moment. Everyone is doing whatever. Like a normal rehearsal before you start to actually rehearse the song. Sterling is hitting the Ride (instead of the closed hihat) like is the end of the world... LOL , Warren is as you said fooling around, etc. Sterling is a great drummer, very skilled, but i would take Ferrone without thinking it twice. Steve got the funk and finesse, while Sterling is more rocker.

Liberty is one of my favorite albums they ever did. It was just a fun time in my life. I had finished my first year of college. Every time I listen to it I am back in 1990. I have always beat to my own drum. When people said they did not like the album in an unashamed way it made me enjoy it more myself.

Lol It also pisses me off when you go to the trouble of replying to ‘that’ member above you and trying to help them with an answer about Liberty demos (in another thread) and then they don’t bother replying or saying ‘thanks’. So, I simply won’t bother in future - for that particular member. Immaturity is rife on this forum. What is brilliant about it though - is that we don’t have any live coverage of Liberty at all. I think that’s the point. Sterling was ace in that - for rehearsals. Warren, was playing guitar, like slicing through cake. Just showing what potential that song could have as a live track - with Warren obviously. But no, it wasn’t perfect - and Simon is ‘goofi balling’ about because...it’s a rehearsal. . and members who can actually acknowledge a post with ‘wagging his Richard’ with a like are just as bad. How pathetic.

As you can see, i just got back to the forum, you can say the lockdown brought me back lol.... and i'm just having a good time talking with you guys, and i really don't know the dynamics of the forum as now. So i hope i didn't brought any conflict or tension between members, nothing further from my intentions. We are all Duran fans, we gotta support each other, man. And woman. and etc. LOL So again, that footage is incredible because in 30 years i never saw it. If i had seen that back in 1990 i would have shit my pants.

This footage is terrible and not because of the poor sound quality. Maybe we should start a separate forum for those who feel Liberty, PT and Medezzaland are their best works So glad WC disappeared from the stage. He not only stole JT's band but also *my* band....

Agreed Oakey. WC was a HUGE part / if not "THEE" part in keeping the band TOGETHER. His contributions on BIG THING and Wedding Album will NEVER be forgotten. I Thank HIM for that. BUT..... He is SUPER "crazy" and he did TAKE OVER the band.... There is NO DOUBT about that He is an EGO-Maniac. LOOK at ME "attitude" He nearly DESTROYED the thing he worked so HARD to save. Sad but True. P.S. Don't think WC is "crazy" ? Google his "911 conspiracy" Video.... 100% nonsense.....
