Now that U2 has their own channel on 32 to the dismay of many Rush fans....I think after # 15 drops they need a resident channel too!
I mean with soon to be 15 albums--b sides, rarities live songs etc from concerts they can easily fill programming!
Interviews too from the years!
They even have Matthew McConaughey as guest DJ introducing the songs!
It's time Sirius and oh Hall of Fame step to the plate too!! Fingers crossed!!!
Thank you!

Is this a US thing? Doesn’t make sense to me. Why fill a radio station with one band? That’s why they invented streaming I would say

I know Sirius did this for Duran for a few weeks back after Aynin or Pop trash.. can’t remember but I’m talking for longer than that! At least a year!

Another Andy question 1.32... lol
The Slight Simon hesitation said it all..Andy must change.. that unworkable gulf.. Andy must have been difficult after 85....

Sirius has dedicated channels, Beatles, Elvis, Garth Brooks and now U2 but it's not the same music 24/7 They play other bands/singers too..either similar or related to the channel, or chosen by the band/singer.

This has been done.
Back in 2007, Sirius gave them their own channel called Red Carpet Radio.
The exposure on Sirius for that album was massive: a Stern interview, their own channel, lots of plays for Falling Down, tons of airtime on 80s on 8 as well as First Wave. They were everywhere in Satellite radio.
Sadly, mainstream radio ignored Falling Down and Sony let the album die. Imagine if they had stuck to their guns with Nite Runner as the first single.

God, no - Please. Not Nite Runner. I think they did the right thing - count their losses and hope the world forgets about it. RCM was a blot on their career - a very sad, desperate attempt at seeking a hit single. Besides, it was embarrassing to see the word ‘Night’ spelt as ‘Nite’ on the artwork. It was such a hypocritical move by the label. To push the band to work with the two Timbs and then wonder why Falling Down flopped. Then pull the plug after blowing the budget on a crap video. So, we’ve lost Andy in the meantime, hardly a tour and back to work on AYNIN - great work Sony. Morons. Nothing on RCM would have worked. Should have stuck with Reportage and we would more than likely still have Andy. The labels haven’t a damn clue.
