Just watched this video of The Power Station and their full performance at Live Aid and I actually like it better than when I originally watched on the 13 July 1985, the reason was because of Robert Palmer not being the main vocalist anymore, but now watching this Michael Des Barres did a great job.

Does anyone know why they didn’t play Some like it hot? Very strange... Perhaps Michael couldn’t learn the lyrics in time for the gig?

Does anyone know why they didn’t play Some like it hot? Very strange... According to Andy Taylor, his amp blew just as they were about to go on and his guitar tech took off and "borrowed" an amp from Led Zeppelin's crew. The time they took to setup the new amp reduced The Power Station song set from 3 to 2 - and the song that got cut was "Some Like It Hot". Pretty much every act that day had some sort of of tech problem - the beauty of live shows.
