If there ends up being an unnumbered pink version available I will happily buy that. Such a release may help bring the over-inflated eBay prices for the RSD release down.

First off, I don't think this was limited to 600 copies. There may have been 600 that were numbered. Way too many people have seemed to find these to make 600 a realistic number. Here in the United States it is available from Best Buy. Same pink vinyl, same UPC number, but no mention of it being numbered. So let's just wait and see what everyone gets. www.bestbuy.com/site/a-diamond-in-the-mind-live-2011-lp-vinyl/35010416.p?skuId=35010416Any indication that the pink vinyl is exclusive to Best Buy in the USA?

I contacted Ear Music and asked them if the US release slated for 9/4/20 was pink or black and they said black.

That's strange as if you look here, there are two ADITM vinyl releases on Best Buy: one released August, one released September: www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?id=pcat17071&st=duran+duranThe September release has pink vinyl in the picture but does not mention this in the description.

Juno, in the UK had the same thing; with - www.juno.co.uk/products/duran-duran-a-diamond-in-the-mind/782059-01/ - on the 27th of Aug... ...however, if you search for Duran on the site, the link to this version's been removed... ...& searching for the 0214898 EMX Ear Music code generally comes up with the earlier re-issue from May.
...where the 0213047 EMX Ear Music code certainly matches the general info for the RSD release - but medazzahalo's info from Ear Music themselves contradicts that.
More generally, there was a load of confusion with the numbers of the RSD version - where some sites & stores were saying 200 & some 2000 & others... ...whilst the numbering on the back was 600 which matched nothing at all... ...so best guess is that whatever was originally planned has been arsed around with to the extent that no one quite knows what's happening at a retail level & they're effectively making stuff up.

Dont fall for the BestBuy listing! I am positive that is an incorrect listing. Just like many sellers are using the Vinyl Factory i,age for the reissue.
In May 2020 EarMusic released a double BLACK vinyl set, initially destined for the German market, the PINK vinyl set was also supposed to be released in May for RSD with 300 copies only. Then RSD was postponed so was the release of the PINK version but the volume was increased to 600 copies as the UK was included for distribution. This week the BLACK vinyl set is going to be released worldwide. I know the barcode mentioned by BestBuy is the same as the PINK one but they could've taken it from the image they listed which is the WRONG image. I have been telling this on facebook too.
I am very happy Ear Music was contacted, i did too but havent received a reply yet. THANK YOU,

One was released earlier this year and is available on the Best Buy site for $25. This one is $40 dollars, so if there is no difference from the earlier pressing, why do it at all? Just to get more money from us? I guess we don't know anything until one of us gets it. Could it similar to the No Ordinary EP RSD release that was later released in the UK, both were white vinyl, but the second wasn't numbered. Maybe these are pink but not numbered.

I ordered a copy from Best Buy this morning and I should have it by the 4th. If it ain’t pink it’s getting returned to the store a couple of miles from my house!!

Could it similar to the No Ordinary EP RSD release that was later released in the UK, both were white vinyl, but the second wasn't numbered. Maybe these are pink but not numbered. i don't believe that they've released another black vinyl version as such - just made it more widely available; & so it's more of an 'international relaunch' due to RSD being delayed.
Otherwise, just to clarify on the Aug 27th Juno release - just in case, i ordered a copy from them but sent a message querying the version... ...& they've gotten back to me today (it was a bank holiday weekend in the UK) confirming that it was the earlier black version from Germany & that they'd cancelled the order; as per my request.
Now, this obviously doesn't guaranty what will happen on the 5th of September - but, since they've removed that version from being searchable for & they only copies they've got are the black vinyl then...
Well, it would appear to fit in with my point of the detail of what was happening with the release being arsed about with & some retailers getting confused.

Wouldn't be the first the time a chain store or Amazon had the wrong image/info of a listing for an LP variant. Seems to happen a lot. Often variants have the same barcode # as the black editions to make it even more confusing. I'm always contacting Amazon market sellers trying to suss out which version of something they are actually selling.
