Wow! So musically it definitely is essentially the same “To the Shore” that we all know. What an interesting revelation in the Duran historical timeline. Definitely very different vocal lines. Simon just has such a better sense of pop melody than Andy Wickett (in my opinion) and vocal melody really makes all the difference but wow... interesting to know that this was an already existing musical composition that Nick, John and Roger brought to Andy & Simon. soundcloud.com/bittersweetmachines/winter-marches-on-duran-duran-coverI also pre-ordered the digital album! But haven't received a download-link yet ... you? This should have been out on 21st!?!

Are the lyrics essentially the same or different?
My life is going to be ruined if "gorging your sanhedralites" didn't come out of Le Bon's head.

Same music (chord structure) different vocal line and lyrics. I only got to hear a 20 second snippet from a friend of mine that got her vinyl pressing yesterday... but it’s very obviously the same song musically but not at all similar from a the singer’s point of view.

This can't be JT in 1979 ... ?!?
