Very nice, to imagine that they wrote this stuff in their 20's is amazing.

i'm reposting my videos due to some interest in the tracks, and also will post some new ones:
girls on film has 2 remixes, and single versions also.
there is also a rare instrumental from the greek 12 inch,
but its a totally different mix from the album.
lets do a more pure album instrumental, and maybe a
drum and bass vocal version.
girls on film (album instrumental) 3:33 :
--------------------------------------------
the vocals will be more prominent here.
i did use the vocal track from the multitrack as
a reference.
girls on film (drum bass album dub) 3:33 :

im sure most of you have heard all the fanmixes of girls on film,
so there's not much new there. but i do like simons voice,
and he is hitting all the high notes here. there is some
great chorusing going on also.
next up : planet earth

ok, the demos of girls on film were interesting, there were the AIR sessions, and the BBC ones. which sounded familiar, but had their own interesting takes. especially the vocals. some experiments with old and new vocals ----- duran duran - girls on film(air session dub) duran duran - girls on film(air session instrumental) duran duran - girls on film(air session new vocal) and the bbc ones ----- duran duran - girls on film(bbc dub) duran duran - girls on film(bbc instrumental) here is the link to the mp3 files, let me know if it works, or if there is an issue drive.google.com/drive/folders/13cjoyZRNpRpp2S4rdXQ7FTR8GkvZgZy4?usp=sharinglater || | | | | | ne gative 1

we now return with another breakthrough hit, planet earth, 40 years later it still sounds fresh.
the remix was another smash hit, and got lots of play in clubs, in the UK and the US. we even got a special cover for it.
i bought it much later on, and the dance version even was on the duran duran album in the US.
one thing about the remix is it's mostly instrumental for 4 minutes or so, and then the lyrics come in.
well, here's a shorter instrumental version of it: NOTE : there is some phasing going on in it
---------------------------------------------------- 02 duran duran - planet earth (album instrumental) 4:03
and here's another one highlighting the great bass work, and drums, along with simons vocals. ---------------------------------------------------------- 02 duran duran - planet earth (drum bass album dub) 4:03
again, these are generated from the actual album track, as i haven't seen any multitracks yet for it.
although you could extract the instrumental part from the remix, it's a completely different take, different bpm, etc.
i love this song, and its one of my all time favorites from them.
here's a fan mix i made using new parts and breakdowns: duran duran - planet earth (voices another sound)

anyone out there, is one of my all time favorite songs from them, i love the guitar, the chorus, and harmonizing on it.
it has a very dreamy quality to it.... i always wished it had been released, and not just on a promo... but an actual night version.
the instrumental:
here's a dub of it. this is more drum and bass: anyone out there (drum and bass dub) -----------------------------------
and i decided to make my own 'night version of it', still needs some fixes, but compared to the other ones on youtube, 1 was just a cut and paste of the beginning to the end, and the other just looped a lot of parts.
i tried to make it more original, with some instrumental parts, and isolating some of the tracks. its not perfect, but it gives some flexibility. i wanted to only use original sounds, and not introduce anything that wasn't in the song already.
i like how you can hear simons voice a little more clearly.
