Typically I really like about half of any given DD album, so the more songs on there, the more I'm likely to enjoy. So if DD15 is only 10 songs, I really hope there's no filler. Only being able to enjoy five new DD songs in six years would kinda suck. I'm a bit nervous that these Moroder tracks I keep hearing about are going to sound completely different from the rest of the album. If they resemble Last Night In The City and Dancephobia I'll be disappointed. It's interesting that you only really like half of any given Duran album. I can remember listening to Liberty in 1990 and being unable to get into Venice Drowning. It was the first Duran track on an album that I had to fast forward (bought it on cassette) or skip! There have been many more in later albums, but I guess that might be for another thread on another day! Tracks you always skipped! (Rather than skip now, due to hearing them so much!) You mean you didn’t skip Hothead? Wow. I have concerns about them using different producers. Surely it will affect the continuity of the album making it less cohesive and end up like “a bunch of songs”? Hope I’m proved wrong. 10 tracks is fine by me. The 9 track AYNIN is my favourite version of the album. It made it more memorable whereas the deluxe version became a bit of a bloated mess. Paper Gods simply had some wrong songs as the part of the main album, with the bonus tracks being far superior (Valentine Stones over Dancephobia and Northern Lights over Last Night In The City). Keep it lean and mean boys! Quality over quantity!

It was only when I joined here, and read other poster's opinion of the song, that it has been turned into a 'guilty pleasure'. 😂 I get what you mean about using different producers, and how it might affect the continuity of the album. Nick mentioned something, in his chat with Tiga, about missing a good album. I agree! I grew up listening to great albums from many different artists. Nowadays everything seems rather like a collection of songs just.

I’ll actually put my neck on the line and say it sits comfortably in the ‘better half’ of the album. I just adore the build up to the bridge (‘time’ and then the bass kicks in - ‘culture shock’ etc). It’s a fantastic summer song and I have vivid memories of making sure the neighbours thought so to. 😉 I’ll take Hothead instead of half the songs from Paper Gods.
