The situation in Europe and particularly in Brazil is very different from the UK and Ireland. Almost 40% of the country have either had one or both vaccine injections.
That said noone knows what will happen over the next couple of months.
One of the Scarborough shows (Kaiser Chiefs) has moved from July to August

Even with the vaccines, large gatherings will require masks and social distancing. The cost of extra security to enforce the health measures and reduced ticket sales to allow distancing mean the shows likely won’t be financially feasible.
And 75-80% or more of the population will need a vaccine to achieve herd immunity; polls suggest that isn’t going to happen, in the U.S. at least. (There are a lot of people here who have entirely rejected science and facts, no offense.) Despite our best hopes, it’s going to take some time to get back to a semblance of normalcy.

That's why many bands and artists are shooting for Fall concert dates or 2022!
I do hope this summer, but the more I am seeing cancellations...I am losing hope for any artist to have a summer date. Hopefully, that will change but didn't UK and SA have the very band variant that originated there and in South America? I think the variants from the virus are what is causing the greatest headache even with vaccination!
What a mess! I do hope that things get to normal..they are talking about having concerts here in the states but only if you are vaccinated. Yeah okay good luck enforcing and keeping up with that!

I am seeing a return to normalcy but I can't imagine this summer people will be ready to attend concerts. Between the lack of the vaccination, all of the anti-maskers/anti-vaxxers (so many refuse to get the vaccine), and the economy, I don't see many concerts occurring this year.

I've already replied to you about this Andre. The strain is under control and the person who had the Brazilian strain is now accounted for. The U.K. are now leaps ahead of any other country with vaccinations Still can’t see a point in going to a gig where you’ll be segregated. I’m in no hurry to get back gigging.

Must be a big chance that DD (and other bands) and up contracted to do only a fraction of the planned shows. Could see DD parking all the 40 years stuff and even new material- we might just get a few gigs with greatest hits only (how would we know the difference?)

The rest of the world need to play ball (including Scotland 😉) and understand the facts. Wear your bloody masks and comply with social distancing - we may have a chance then.

The U.K. are now leaps ahead of any other country with vaccinations Well it depends how you look at it. The UK is one of the countries in the lower range of percentage of people fully vaccinated in Europe because they use all available vaccines for giving as many people one shot. The rest of Europe adheres to the guideline that the vaccine needs two shots with a few weeks in between. Time will tell which strategy works best of course: www.euronews.com/2021/03/08/covid-19-vaccinations-in-europe-which-countries-are-leading-the-wayEither strategy will help to get rid of this virus, at least stopping it from disrupting society Even with gigs happening there will be travel restrictions or even bans. As kong as one stay in one’s own country more things are possible but concerts require international travel for cree and artists, so that will be disrupted for a while I guess.
