Sounds quite retro, the images remind me of Interference.

Screensaver music indeed, not of interest to me at all. This does certainly not qualify as classical music. i'm not sure that you're using "classical music" correctly as a term. Simply that whilst it's clearly not music redolent of the 'classical period' music; ie early 18th-early 19th century European music with Beethoven & Mozart & the like... ...i'm as certain as i can be, not being an expert on these things, that it's within the "post-minimalist" classical tradition.
Yeah, don't get me wrong, this track's not really my thing at all - but then i don't expect to like everything.
Well, things like Medazzaland (the original, not the album track), Control Freak & most of the TV Mania stuff worked for me - but the Prototypes on PT & the interludes on BT left me somewhat cold.

I quite liked it, especially when the beat kicked in. It’s definitely got the Arcadia DNA. It’s not the sort of music I’d usually listen to but it was short enough not to bore me. I was kinda half expecting a bit of WC guitar at the end for some reason!??

Sounds about right. But without Simon's vocals I can't get terribly excited about it. I'm guessing this is just a hobby for them...something to fill the time...no great expectations of generating any revenue... Perhaps I should have expanded. I think it detracts from what the band *should* be doing. Leave the pretentious, self indulgent projects alone and catch up on lost time for the forever delayed 40th. It feels like an eternity since the discussions began on here and I am so bored with it. Oh I agree. The band had enough time to write and record multiple albums these last several years. I'll quickly scan through Astronomia to see if there's anything interesting but it really isn't my cup of tea. I'm curious who the other musicians are on there. I think Nick mentioned vocals in a Variety article...

ha! How about you Asteroidk - you looking forward to it? I'm listening to TVMania right now...so impressed with some of the trippy stuff in there! Yeah! I want to hear the analog synthesizers that he mentioned! I’ve grown found of the tv mania stuff as well.

I quite like this. Nick being very Eno-esque here.
Eno; another music artist not known for his technical playing skills but a genius at ambient, moods, textures and producing skills.

I'm looking forward to these! And I don't believe it detracts from anything.

I am aware of that, I am a fan and collector of contemporary and 20th century classical music This is ambient music (or even elevator music), but not classical music. Like not all music with an orchestra is classical music either (eg movie soundtracks)
