Goes to show how detached the band has become if even Nick doesn't proofread any more. The band has become a brand. Songs are product and not even the most important product any more. I remember that at a press conference John held (something to do about alcoholism) a fan asked when "On Evil Beach" was going to be released (can't remember exactly what the question was). John didn't have a clue what songs the fan was talking about.

A pointless release, we didn't need it.

^^ I think JT's response about As Seem From A Distance was meant to be a joke - as they hadnt public announced the existence of the song up to that point. He said "how do you even know about that?" like how has the fan found out about this song already? He then says "I dont know about [if its worth] going back and remixing old tracks, speak to Nick Rhodes", so he admits the subject matter is about remixing an old track (Kajagoogoo), and that it was Nicks idea. (Nick wrote and produced the original track).
- Wasnt the book very expensive? Yes its a shame if there are a huge number of typos, as it make the project look unprofessional, I rely on underscored red wavey lines myself, due to certain word blindness and basically being a bad speller.
Its very unlikely they would go for a second print run to fix these mistakes, and if they did, the value of the first print would go up due to those bugs and mistakes, and it would be expensive, so I dont think it would happen.
Nick was probably working on this until the last possible second, as always, and there 'wasn't time' to hand it around for proof reading before the printers due deadline.
There isnt anything about the book on the fandom wiki. Could someone please write something about what this book is all about? Is it an autobiography, or random thoughts and stories? If you can include an example story, or scan in an example page, that is great. Also the cover art would be great. I'll then post these notes to the fandom site - along with the typo controversy.

Yes that's the video I meant. And I really think he didn't have a clue about the title of that track. Maybe it got it's title and lyrics after he had layed down his part a long time before, but still. I also think he asks 'how do you even know about that ?' because he's thinking "and I don't". It's in the look on his face.

Although, he was pretty good at covering up his unknowingness in this interview, I am pretty sure that he didn't have a clue what the fan was asking about!!!
