If I remember correctly, it was mentioned of a single as early as April, in the last Kate with nick.....anyone want to place bets?...... it would be nice to have something this month but I’m not holding out on it.

The album will be delayed until next year with a single possible late this year, if I had to bet.

Correct me if i’m wrong. Yes they said april, but didn’t say what year.

If there's no tour to be done in 2021 we won't get new music in 2021.

Sadly, I’d say Q4 is likely the soonest we’d get any new material given the ongoing Covid dynamics. Let’s hope they don’t use the time to ‘rework’ things....

I won't be giving it a thought at all until the official release unannouncement. I'm set.

Well I guess we don't know what is on the horizon, but all I can say is that it would be nice if they have used this year productively. Even if that means getting other people to work on things and they just 'oversee' it. Could be a release of their albums in high res, or a rescan of video material or finding some lost demos. They would just need to give the instruction to do it and they'd not have to do that much really.
Ultimately, they are all still here and full functioning and unfortunately at some point that won't be the case, we are all getting older after all..and if nothing else this virus has shown that unexpected things can happen to any one of us out of the blue. So if now wasn't the right time to preserve their work and legacy, when on Earth would it be?

I would bet on a Fall release for new music with the possibility of concerts being closer to reality at the end of 2021 and summer 2022.
Here in the Stares, we are doing great with vaccinations but new cases are on the rise again. Until the trend goes down and stays down, live music , and therefore DD, is on ice.

This sounds very promising!Rhodes went on to discuss the long-mooted Duran Duran boxset, which he and John Taylor have been talking about since Duran’s only expanded reissue campaign: Seven And The Ragged Tiger was recorded at Air Studios in Montserrat with producers Alex Sadkin and Ian Little, but these unreleased songs date back to the initial sessions for the album: www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/nick-rhodes-on-what-makes-a-good-reissue-and-a-potential-liberty-redux/

just the fact that there's been zero buzz since the beginning of this "40th anniversary" year is a very bad sign. fans that have stuck by them for 40 years are getting what? spotify playlists? big deal... the way the band and management are treating this supposed special year is a little offensive frankly.
