Somewhat of a spoiler alert here regarding the single from Roger in the Kafe.... Says the John/Roger groove is “industrial” sounding...both he and Katy agreed if they had to put this song on a previous album it would be AYNIN. Very encouraging from my point of view. More good info on the Katy Kafe with Roger: > Ronson tracks still not complete > Was supposed to film a video around Roger’s bday (now) but it was pushed back > The two Mororer tracks are among his favorites > Coxon plays on “a lot” of the album I don't know about you, but I'm getting pretty darn excited for Invisible! It would seem as though they’d want to have the video done / ready before they release the single, right?

So ‘Industrial’ relates to a grunge meets Kraftwerk sound. Plenty of rock guitar and synth. Could be interesting.

Their definition of industrial may differ from ours but AYNIN and BTM both had “industrial” . Alkan’s production on This Is Not A Safe Place coupled with Coxon’s guitar has me hyped. Please go back and listen to that album; even if some of the songs aren’t that great, Alkan’s work is first rate.

Just wondering what the response is to this news on social media? I stay away from the Facebook groups. Just seems a bit quiet here.

I think low-key is probably the description I'd use! I guess we'll have to wait until it's eventually made known through official channels to get a better reaction!

Just wondering what the response is to this news on social media? I stay away from the Facebook groups. Just seems a bit quiet here. There is no mention of a new single in May on insta or fb, latest posts are just stuff about Roger's birthday, a link to the video for Sunrise and an old interview with Simon and Godley & Creme on AVTAK. So the band has not yet started to build momentum there... The comments there are also silly, thinks like The best band in the universe!! followed by a string of 30 hearts or Love you Roger my favourite Duranie boy (again with a string of hearts) Nothing that shows any knowledge of or excitement for new music.

For me, I'm just cautiously looking forward to it. At first glance the news and details seem very positive - DD featuring Coxon is a great combination on paper, and I'm really hoping that is as good in reality.
As for Facebook, it's horrible for DD, all those inane "I love you" style comments, often repeatedly from a handful of individuals. It's a real turn off and why I try to avoid it - it just reflects badly on a classic band.

Although it would be a sad day to be discriminative against a band purely on the back of declarations of love and matrimony for the band members. However, I do wonder if these women have got lives / husbands to love back home? Of all the credible people DD have worked with over the years and yet still they suffer from teeny bop syndrome. Honestly, it should of been Duran Duran who wrote ‘Shake the Disease’. Facebook is awful and the DD page is as cold as Antartica.
