Duran Duran spending even more time on songs is not something the world needs. Ha! I'll revise my statement: Cinderella Ride had the potential to be a classic if the band had spent a little more time on it AND LESS (OR NO) TIME ON LAST NIGHT IN THE CITY, YOU KILL ME WITH SILENCE, AND DANCEOPHOBIA. Better?

Quoted for truth - in a sea of mediocre posts, that stands out like dogs' balls the size of a hot air balloon. You Sir/Madam, hit the nail on the head.

I just love how negative the OP is toward Beautiful Colors but had neglected to mention how poorly it compares to the massive Duran anthem from the Astronaut album - Bedroom Toys
Absolutely no comparison in my view
I think that puts any argument to bed

Last night in the city and you kill me with silence are Duran! Love those songs! Keira hits it out of the ballpark!!! Last Night In The City and You Kill Me With Silence are close to the worst two songs that Duran Duran have ever produced. And the main reason for that is that the band don't even realise how bad they are! At least when they make intentionally shitty joke songs like Shotgun or Silva Halo, they know that most of the fans will just think they're weird pieces of music, and will simply skip to the next track. However with Last Night In The City they hired the services of a fantastic singer, but then proceeded to write soulless, tuneless dance music that goes absolutely nowhere. They essentially hired a Ferrari to drive them to the worst part of town. And then got mugged. And don't get me started on Kill Me With Silence, which is even worse. You think heads full of chopstick, or chickens curling are bad lyrics - once again at least those songs are trying to be quirky. But YKMWS with its "that's your style, girl" is trying to be a serious lyric in a serious song. Really Duran? Using the term "Girl" like that? It sounds cringey enough coming from a young, American rapper, but old Englishmen using it in a pop song, is very off-putting. Add the terribly boring melody (does it even have a melody?) and you have the quinella of a terrible song with an awful lyric. The last time I tried to listen to YKMWS in my car, it was so boring that I almost dozed off and drove off the side of the road. My options were to continue driving towards a large tree, which I thought was valid as I just wanted the horrible musical pain to end, but then I realised that I didn't want the final song I ever got to hear to be You Kill Me With Silence. So instead I skipped the track to something off AYNIN, instantly woke up, and veered back on to the road. True story.

BC never made it past the demo stage. There's some good potential, but it is clearly unfinished so it is difficult to judge it one way or the other. Most of the PG bonus tracks, aside from Northern Lights, feel unfinished as well. I think they could have been so much better had they been properly mixed. I think Cinderella Ride could have been a classic had the band spent a little more time on it. While it's true those songs don't sound as overproduced as the main part of the albums they were recorded for that doesn't mean they weren't properly mixed. If that to you means unfinished then all Beatles songs are not properly mixed demo's. The whole sixties catalogue by any artist then is. There's nothing wrong with the mixing of the songs you mentioned. Maybe the vocals on 'As seen from a distance' are a bit low. But I'm sure that even that was an artistic decision.

True story. .. and not forgetting Nick Eganās bill for directing the video to Last Night in the City. That wouldnāt have been cheap. But yes... āthatās your style, girlā reeks ādirty old pervā syndrome. Thereās some things *any* fifty plus male should stay clear of if they donāt want to get arrested. Sorry (not sorry), but the whole album is a big fail. I played it for three months and havenāt revisited it for five years (no pun intended). Jeeze, Iām nervous as hell about this new album.

BC was officially released for that football thing so I consider it part of the Duran canon and not a demo. They also played it live several times. Itās just not available on any physical or download channel.
Love Last night in the city, but hate You kill me with silence (canāt stand the one-finger 8-year old beginner style Casio opening) Last night is not their best song ever but a nice uplifting EDM tune which I consider very Duran. Similar to songs like Nice or Taste the Summer which also do not get much appreciaition here. I only hate all the temixes of LNITC, they could have done so much better.

Look everyone. Please know that you're wrong - the obvious lost single from the last 40 years of Duran Duran is clearly 'Interlude One' - a true masterpiece.
