Never been a fan of Hold Me. I prefer Proposition. Now you’re talking! The chorus is excellent on Hold Me but it loses its grip during the instrumental bits - while Proposition is very much on a par with Sin of the City. Two stellar album closers.

Proposition is a superb song, J'agree. About time you said something sensible! Get a room you two

I am laughing out loud reading these posts this morning, so thank you Shuttermaze! I also like Hold Me, but love Proposition more.
In the spirit of bucking the DD fandom group think, let me just offer that “Leopard” is maybe the 8th best track on AYNIN, and its silly spoken word news report coda is something a younger NR would have scoffed at.
#Contrarian

A reworked ‘Chauffeur’? I don’t think so. Not even close. It’s a ‘nice’ song and I’m glad Mark tapped into DD’s early sound. I’m glad because we won’t be going back there again. Besides, there isn’t enough time to spend another wasted 5 years on an album (Paper Gods) that really doesn’t cut the mustard. There’s far better quality on the rest of AYNIN and don’t get me wrong, I love the album and had the pleasure of hearing it live almost in its entirety during the rehearsal shows of 2011. Off on a tangent... With all the beeaatching and opinions, we all have one thing in common. We want DD to have success again and I’m hoping this new album provides at least a few great songs we will all enjoy. But I’d also like to see the management and label (whomever that may be) throwing everything (including the kitchen sink) behind the marketing. If they don’t it will sink. Trust me, I’ve seen it happen time after time. The last truly great PR exercise was The Wedding Album.

Many fans believe Hold Me to be some Andy Taylor-inspired shouldda-bin-a-number-one, shouldda-bin-a-single. Those fans are wrong. But the bottom line is that it is stodgier than a suet pudding, does not feature his Lordship Sir Andrew, and demonstrates why the Boys should steer clear of the "rock" stables. Meaningless lyrics, a pompous two-stringed (and plucked) *bass solo* (WTAF) and a tribute to power chords, and the presets on a Roland D-50, Hold Me will lead its listeners into the world of "Release Me" or "We are never getting back together" and is unworthy of the vinyl its sorry tones have caused to be cut in its name. #justsaying Do you have anything nice to say? Lol.. why are you a fan? You seem very negative ! No more negative than I can get! Lol. We like what we like and the band couldn't care less.

The video for Hold Me by Fleetwood Mac reminds me of Union of the Snake.
