Excellent.
COMPLETE: The London stream just completed.
UP NEXT: Los Angeles and Atlanta are up next 6PM PST and 9PM EST (airing simultaneously).
So it should be 10AM for you in Toyko I believe, with a 9PM EST air time EST.
Looking forward to discussing with you post!
Thanks for planning to "tune in"

I watched the ATL/LA broadcast, and it was well-thought, artistically presented and clever. Though I'd seen most of these videos before, there were many surprises, and fun to predict what would come next while watching This was not just standard DD music videos played in sequence, but a carefully-constructed set with remixed, rare or edited videos. Highlights were the video matching/mixing, and use of remixes to keep the flow strong. In particular I enjoyed these sequences: - ASWI/Electric Barbarella/Girl Panic/GOF - clever and of course I enjoyed the models
- DYBIS/Dark Circles/Chauffeur - a nice artsy and dark interlude
- White Lines/Pressure Off/UOTS/Invisible - brilliant visual matching
- IDWYL/Notorious/WHT(remix)/Planet Earth/Sunrise - super high energy and seamless flow
It's unfortunate DD HQ chose not to support this, as many DD fans would have really enjoyed the experience. Maybe DJ El Diablo Rojo (Mark) will do perform this again, and if so, don't miss it.

Its not unusual for DD HQ to not support fan projects, and as far as I know, they never did.
There is always something DD related going on by fans every day, from art to posters to books and online materials. They never get involved or endorse fan projects as there are simply too many of them, and they cant give Ok's to use copyright music, as thats all tied up in publisher legalities. With the case of music videos, they are given away as promotional materials, so there is no legal dispute there. The band dont do fan interviews or plug messages on unofficial channels, so there is little need for DD HQ to be involved with this one.
When it comes to endorsement, its a bit pointless, as often the fans would go ahead and create their dreams even without any acknowledgement or consent. I saw a video on youtube about Star Wars which was 'approved by Mark Hamill'. But as Mark had nothing to do with production or what was created, its a bit of a gimmick to get acknowledgement which doesnt mean a whole lot.
DDHQ, I believe, is basically Katy Krassner, and she takes care of all the fan liaison stuff. As the band dont get involved with fan conventions, projects or events, there is little for her to do except say 'thanks' and sometimes 'good work'. Katy has no say in the bands schedule or press dates, as this is handled through Agents, and the bands corporate and event co-ordinators in New York - which is the other side of DDHQ which we never get access to.
The bottom line is perhaps dont feel sad about it, as its always been the case. Its good that fans at least have someone to turn to, and ask questions, and its not just behind a pay wall somewhere. Its also good that the band dont have legal rights to accept or veto projects, as they could turn around and say 'no' to things like the Reimagined albums and other uses of their music.
I added this event to the DD wiki timeline, but as the project doesnt exist anymore, its hard to justify the note when fans cant see or relate to this news. If the project was uploaded permanently to Youtube or Soundcloud etc, then it deserves to be remembered for all time.

I did notice one recent exception where they tweeted out an online viewing party for the Daily Duranie. They also tweet and retweet and few fan things here and there. I was involved with one being Ansgar’s amazing Unique Versions webpage. And I believe they posted a few of his other works as well.

Thanks for your thoughtful answer and dose of reality. DD HQ certainly don't have the bandwidth to support every fan project, no matter how grand.
