TWA was awesome imho, tracks like OW, CU, TMI, NOTA and BAB blew me away. Shelter , L V and SOTC are pretty solid album tracks too. If you add in FF and Falling Angel that’s a good album. Sure there’s some filler on there, I liked Drowning Man at that time but man it’s aged and Shotgun is a massive improvement on Flute interlude 🤣. I’ll concede UMF (makes my ears bleed) and To Whom, edit SOTC plus LV and I guess for flow take out DM and FF but TWA contains song writing and instrumental highs that they’ve never reached since. Man this thread has gone way off topic, I’ll shut up now😂

This is so true Andre and why its my least fave album. Outside of the first Album and RIO, however, it may be their most important - and OW and CU did the trick. But holy cow...Love Voodoo (even though this one gets some fan love for some reason), Shotgun, Drowning Man, UMF, None of the Above, To Whom...songs that did nothing for me on the first listen and still don't today. OW and CU are classic...SotC is good, Falling Angel is one of their best B sides ever. Don’t forget Too much Information too …. Great video too..TWA had 3 great solid songs .. rest were filler!!! Pfff the rest were filler....sin of the city, stop dead, love voodoo...no memory here.

I haven't read past the first page (and maybe I won't. Don't know.). But I haven't spent any time listening to this new band of his, therefore, this is a first for me. I expect he doesn't normally do the main singing, but I was totally down with that rendition. It was fun and made me happy. Glad to see him with a group he seems to enjoy.
Edit to add: I didn't listen to wild boys before commenting. But now that I have, wild boys hits totally different, from this band verses duran. And I think Andre is correct about that front man's voice. Sheesh!

Edit to add: I didn't listen to wild boys before commenting. But now that I have, wild boys hits totally different, from this band verses duran. And I think Andre is correct about that front man's voice. Sheesh! it's not so much that it's his new band - as they has some decent success in the UK in the mid-late 90s (including a No1/platinum LP - where the single "Place Your Hands" was/is pretty well known over here) & had reformed & released an album prior to Andy's involvement...
...but that he was co-writing & producing their (delayed d.t Covid) upcoming album & then played with them live on a few dates in 2019 - starting with their Glastonbury performance...
...& then Gary Stringer (Reef's vocalist) was the featured vocalist on Love & Revolution.
So, with the Reef dates (post Glastonbury) then if Andy's been playing they've normally been billed as "Reef (featuring Andy Taylor)"...
...where, for the couple of dates in mid-late 2019, they'd mostly play Reef material + 3 or 4 tracks of AT's solo stuff + Addicted To Love & Get it On.
Whilst for Andy's solo London show, stuff was pretty much reversed - with the set being almost all Andy's stuff (inc Murderess, HLTW & TWB) + 3 Reef tracks + a few covers...
...where Andy & Gary split the vocals - with Andy being the lead on his solo stuff (Tremblin' was an AT solo performance), Gary being the lead on the Reef tracks, & the others being a mish-mash.
& then, whilst all of the dates were cancelled/postponed d.t. the plague, the original plan was that there'd be 2 separate UK tours in 2020 - Reef (featuring AT) & AT (featuring Gary Stringer)...
...though, whilst tickets for Reef are now on sale, Andy's not rescheduled anything yet.
Otherwise, whether or not it's anyone's cup of tea, in the main interview segment then Andy talked about HLTW having been demoed 39 years ago & having "a little bit of punk in the chords & so that's what we're kind of doing here." (Gary then talked about how a good song transfers between styles - with the chat around from Chris Evans being how it's clear why Duran were so massive... ...where he was trying to push Andy to say that it was how he thought Duran should have sounded)
Whilst (otherwise) Andy was just out of self-isolation having been pinged due to someone on the plane over to the UK.
Anyway, it's abundantly clear that they get on & Andy's enjoying himself - which is all for the good imho.

@pocketdemon, thanks for the info and clarification. Whether he's a feature contributor or not, it seems like he's a good fit with this group. They look fun lol. Also cool that Andy has an avenue for performing his/duran's material.
Personally, I like hearing different versions of hltw. It translates well to other genres.

No worries. i was going to mention those couple of bits about the interview earlier, but have been snowed under with stuff this last week & have only just stopped before starting again after some sleep...

Love Voodoo is one of my all-time favourite Duran songs I am a TWA fan, the only interesting thing apart from Electric Barbarella and Out of My Mind that WC contributed to their legacy IMO. The rest of his tenure consisted of filler…
