Ever have one of those days where nothing seems to go right? This morning, the dryer broke down, found out I owe my mom $$, got a whopping bill for one of my meds ,some work woes too and money issues. The only relief I got was my sweet-potato pie turned out pretty good and I'm now doing deep breathing exercises to keep myself calm. My only question is what do you do when you have a lousy day and need to cool down?

sounds like you are on a good start with the deep breathing and sweet potato pie...
I go to the movies by myself when I had a completely horrible day.. That way I have to deal with other people but myself..

My key to sanity during stressful times is music, music and more music. A funny movie works wonders as well.

I agree with the movie idea....I just make sure it's funny, that I'm at home, have my favorite sherpa blanket and a fresh drink.

I agree with spending some time by yourself... maybe a nice hot bubble bath or something. Maybe take a stroll around the mall or a walk around your neighborhood. Just enjoy the peace and quiet.

A long hot bath can do wonders. Calgon! take me away!!!!!I say select the music of your choice/or take any 80's flick movie & curl up & relax. We're always going to have difficult times in our lives, just take some time for yourself. It will all eventually ease out. **HUGS!!**

A nice hot bath with a good book and a cup of Russian tea......or a nap...........or a nap after a nice hot bath with a good book and a cup of Russian tea.
I'm sorry your day was so bad! Hope tomorrow is better!

Ugh, I'm sorry your day was so rotten. I hope things go more smoothly for you in the future.
As for me, a long, loud, totally internal "Arrrrrrrgggggggg!" does wonders to clear the bad humours from my system (can't do it out loud or someone might call the cops, lol.) Then I find a favorite funny book that doesn't require much thought (the Stephanie Plum books are ideal for this) and tuck myself into the corner of my comfy couch, with my comfy afgahn and comfy cushions, and I forget about the real world for a while.
