If I lived in LA, I’d pay it
But I’m not gonna pay for flights from Australia in addition + risk getting Covid while travelling/in a foreign country, besides the family might decide to tag along (not to the gig) but to the US thereby flights/accomodation and hence attendance to this gig might cost me aprox $ 20,000
If it was in my home town, I’d see the value, why in 2012 I paid approx $400 for a AYNIN gig front row seat and that was for one gig, in this case it’s a ticket to an additional show, plus drinks, after show party etc
I’m not too fussed about a signed LP coz I get way more pleasure in attaining a face to face scrawl (when/if fortunate enough)
🤞🏼The Aussie FP tour happens later this year or early next year AT THE LATEST coz it’s been a decade and that’s way too long .

Agree - it's for moneyed LA industry types. They like to $pend. I'd guess JT has enough insight to know this kind of event works there. Good promo for the Hollywood Bowl shows. the los angeles/aster hotel rooftop show/shoot would be cool but eeesh who sets these kinds of prices?!!

Poptrash, are you their booking agent? You seem to have a jump on all the new gigs? Any word of them releasing dates all at once instead of this slow drizzle? Thanks! I'm not, Simon said this in the little red carpet interview for the NME awards and i dont think he was supposed to say this since HQ loves to announce things big. I too hate the drizzle because it is hard to plan travel for multiple shows. Speaking of big things... those prices for the Aster Hotel gig are ridiculous. I guess it is because of the NFT you will be getting but who says it is worth the money. So apparantly DD tickets will be becoming an investment... usually you'd buy tickets to hear some great music! Not familiar with the hotel, but are they only filming from the rooftop while the band plays on a parking lot? Are the band on the rooftop too? Oh well, we will find out soon! Sounds like another Wendy project with absolutely no grip on reality and what fans actually want!!

Looking at the price of these VIP packages, one of which includes a Hollywood Bowl ticket, the HB tickets should be no more than $250. That’s just a bit more than the standard “best available” tickets for the PG tour. I’m hoping since it’s a while before the HB shows go on sale, there are more dates surrounding those gigs that will have been announced.

Looking at upcoming gigs at the Leicester o2 Academy there are gaps in the schedule between 10th & 17th and 21 & 26th April. The latter dates in April tie in well for the Ibiza gig. Probably have to skip these ones. Wish they were doing something more London or Southern based.

DD will play two nights at a small venue in Leicester, UK in April which supposed to be warmup gigs for the Ibiza event. No details yet. Does anyone know what happened with the Leicester gigs? Quietly scrapped or about to be announced last minute?

The London Q&A on the 26th is still going ahead as planned.... I don't think they would of had time to play two 'cash in' shows before the Ibiza gig, the bands equipment and stage rig would need to go out a few days before the concert.

I think it was great that the 'secret' gig was leaked, and we did have Simon saying it was in a tiny venue. But I think it is leaving it a bit late to book. If the dates are 22/23 than we can hope things will be announced by next weekend. It's not very secret if we all knew about it, but I hope it happens.
