Yep. Could see this coming a mile off. It’s maths! It’s more of a challenge and goes to show you can’t always just hurt a choice just to try to get your way. You have 5 pts. There’s nothing to say you have to choose to hurt OR heal. You can do both. There’s really not much difference to the old rules. The only thing that changed is that choices have a bit more of a chance. Don’t like that certain tours are getting too many points? Start voting them down. It’s maths.

The point of voting, for anything, is to determine an outcome. You can see historically that people bat for different things. A lot of the votes here carry no weight because they are immediately reversed, meaning the end point doesn’t move. Of course it’s not entirely true, some will push ahead at the expense of others where there are collective favourites, but it’s slow and (sorry uraniumplayer, I know I ruin all your dreams 😇) a bit tedious.

It’s always been that way, even with the previous voting system. Before, if you dared to heal anything, it was immediately undone (and further damaged). It took 4 people to undo the damage done by two people hurting something. This game wouldn’t be “slow” if people would mix up the way they were voting. There are lots of tours that have had nothing done to them. At 35 pts, it only takes 7 people to take one of those tours out. People need to stop thinking in black and white. This is shades of grey here. Get creative.

I’ll also add my .02. What people are REALLY complaining about with this change is the fact that it’s much harder for a couple people to influence the end results of the game.
Again…get creative. Is your tour high up in rank? Well, then use that as an opportunity to take down one that you don’t want to win.
It also seems like people are using the two tours in the lead as an excuse to say that this voting method doesn’t work. I mean that one could think that the two are being voted up on purpose to prove a point.
In previous games, I know I got a lot of flack and innuendo directed at me for the way my friend and I were choosing to vote. Honestly, that came across as, “you’re not one of the regulars here, so we are going to put you in your place”.
From that, I learned that: 1. Healing something only makes it a target which others will immediately attack and take out 2. The only way to actually influence the game was to choose to hurt everything I didn’t like. Healing did no good (see #1)
So this is a more even playing field. Again…get creative. You can heal AND hurt at the same time. You don’t have to choose one or the other.
Change your strategy. I had to do so in the previous incarnation of these games.

Well, if all anyone is doing is healing the Strange Behaviour and Big Thing tours, even under the previous rules this game would be taking forever.
