Anyone else cringing at the poor research in the journalism? First new music from Duran Duran after a 30 year hiatus? Lolwut. 30 years ago DD were bothering the charts with the likes of Ordinary World and Come Undone, nothing to do with AT, and obviously there's been numerous albums since then. FFS. All of which should be a warning about what to expect if taking the headlines at face value. Just wait a few minutes, another article will come out saying all Taylor's are brothers and that they got their name Duran Duran from a Coco Puffs cereal box prize.

Would be cool if there is new documentary footage with Andy..perhaps Anthology stuff? While the group will be recording the album in London and Los Angeles, singer Simon LeBon is set to travel to Lebanon to record in Andy’s studio, as John explains: “LeBon is flying to Ibiza to work with Andy. I kind of wish I was there. I think it’ll be great. It’ll be really profound for them. They haven’t been in the studio together in maybe 10 to 20 years”. The new album is set to include a number of cover songs that inspired Duran Duran when they were kids. John also alluded to the idea that a potential documentary centred around the album could feature some footage reuniting with Andy.

Didn't know Andy was now married to Gela..Tracy will not be happy...I really think had Andy shown up for RRHOF I don't think they would have allegedly tried to hook up 1 last time for any project according to John?

I doubt DD are going to the studio ahead of their UK tour? ultimateclassicrock.com/duran-duran-andy-taylor-new-album/The bassist's new comments echo statements he made in an interview earlier this month. “There’s a project that we have in the works that’s going to be coming out towards the end of the year," John noted to 99X Atlanta. "It’s mostly covers, actually; that’s part of a whole conceptual project we’re working on. … We are going back into the studio together in a month or so, just to see what we can cook up.”

I don't want to see Reportage tracks mixed with an album of cover versions. But I would like to see the track Everything and nothing changes make it to this release.
I really believe DD are saving Reportage as their swan-song album...

I really believe DD are saving Reportage as their swan-song album... I don’t see the band going out on a collection of songs that are a) a decade and a half years old and this point and b) were rejected by a label. Don’t get me wrong—I want nothing more than to hear it. But I think their swan song will be something fresh and important to them at that stage in their career.

I agree their "swan song album" will most likely be a collection of fresh and original songs.. However, based on what they've said previously about Reportage, I also feel it's an album that will be released as they start to put the finishing touches on their "legacy".
