While Come Undone is a great song, I don't think it should have replaced Stop Dead on the album. Come Undone should have been placed after Stop Dead. Had to scratch my head that they took off two good songs and replaced them with another good song and a mediocre song (I'm talking about you, Femme Fatale!).

They must have felt pretty strongly about FF why they even made an official video clip for it
I actually liked both Stop Dead & Time For Temptation
In fact I actually prefer TFT
They shoulda just added them as bonus tracks
Hmm & then there’s Fallen Angel another great track
What went on there ?
I'm glad CU is on there, IMO lyrically it is superior

Mind you, I don't abhor the Thank You album, it's just that FF is out of place on TWA. If you look back at all their albums prior to TWA, all the material was original, no covers. I mean, TWA was already done and dusted and sent to the label, hence that's why early copies leaked out months before the final product. I do like Come Undone, but that and only that song should have been added to the album without any song deletions. As for the video, well...since FF appear on TWA and TY, maybe it served as a bridge to connect the two albums.

I was always under the impression that Thank you came about because some one at the record label thought a covers album would be a good idea based on their cover of FF.

Femme Fatale would have made a lovely b-side. Nothing less, nothing more.
Hate having a cover on a studio album.

I think the initial idea was to have an EP out (of covers) while dd were still doing TWA tour
Yet it turned out to a full blown covers LP project, where they even ‘covered’ one of their own tracks
I know this is right off topic yet I don't get why WTYH appears twice on the TY LP

As for WTYH, I think that boiled down to John having a favorite version - someone correct me if I'm wrong. I still can't believe John threw a fit about the version of Drug that appeared on Big Thing, which was sub sequentially reinstated on the 2010 reissue, replacing the version we'd always grown up with on the album.

Had to scratch my head that they took off two good songs and replaced them with another good song and a mediocre song (I'm talking about you, Femme Fatale!). Agreed. In 1992, I was fortunate to have the "Here Comes the Band" version of TWA, with Stop Dead after Shotgun, plus Time for Temptation. Come Undone is solid, but I prefer Time for Temptation (a favorite) and Stop Dead over Femme Fatale. I heard Frank Zappa recommended they record a cover of that song. Admittedly, it does suit them. If I could go back in time I'd replace Drowning Man (which I like) with Come Undone. Ah, fantasy record engineering! :-) - Too Much Information
- Ordinary World
- Love Voodoo
- Come Undone
- Shotgun
- Stop Dead
- Breath After Breath
- UMF
- None of the Above
- Time for Temptation
- Shelter
- To Whom It May Concern
- Sin of the City
Still, there's a tighter album there if pre-CD age runtimes. But yay, Come Undone! Was awesome live with Lamya in 93/94. And I liked the mixes too.

At least with the Japanese CD pressing, they included those tracks as bonus tracks. I was happy that they did this, but would have preferred them in their original positions.
