I've been using TaxAct (an online service) for the past several years. It's free for most everybody, but you have to put up with them asking you if you want to buy an upgrade just about every time you click "next page." I found them through the IRS website and have never had a problem. I just got my final W2 and I'm ready! I should be getting a pretty decent refund this year.

I'm also still waiting on my W2. Being single with no kids & little property, I just fill out the 1040EZ form, and send it in right away if I'm getting money back, or wait til the last minute if I owe. I usually get a couple hundred back.

i just do my taxes by hand. i'm single, do not have any children and rent rather than own, so it's a pretty simple process for me. so, there's no need for me to use turbotax or anything like that. i just go on www.irs.gov and fill out the form on line and send it in.

We usually get a couple of grand back (thank you four kids!!!). This year we bought our first house and payed 3 points in interest, so this year we have more to claim. I hoping for big things this year.

We use an accountant every year, file an extension, so I worry about this crap around October. My husband has several businesses and I'm an independant contractor, so it can be a real pain in the arse. But those accountants sure are creative!

I do the 1040EZ. I'm single, and not a homeowner. I usually get money back. I sure hope so. I still haven't received my W2 form yet. Knowing my stupid job, they'll send it after it's due.

Well, I just did mine. Bummer - I'm not getting as much back as I had hoped. I got a pretty big one last year. I think it's because I paid more in student loan interest in '05 than in '06. Oh well, I'm still getting a few hundred, so I guess I should be happy.

I also use the turbo tax online site. I pay though, because with military and overseas stuff, I can't use the ez. Still much cheaper than H&R Block.
