still love the faulty-transmission intro...and the colours - it was such a vibrant video (well, still is). I think a 'live' video was just what they needed at the time, too. what kinda concept would they have had would it not have been 'live'

I bought the album (cheapo, because there was a big scratch on "Union") long before "the Reflex" was released and you just immediately felt this could be a huge hit. I'm probably the only person who still likes the album version better. (don't like the "burping" sounds in the remix)

The Reflex will always be my favorite single among all of the great singles. I love the added percussion/effects and rhythm. I was a lucky one who got to see the tour as well.

When I bought SATRT there was no single version of The Reflex yet. I remember that the album version never grabbed me on the first listen, but even on the others, and after all their hits, I was horrified by that song. Fortunately, the rest of the album balanced it out. But then luckily Fe - Fle - flex came along!

(don't like the "burping" sounds in the remix) 😂 I like the album version better too, however I get that at an epic 6 minutes in length, a radio-edit had to be made available I feel it’s LP version is somewhat epic and the bass n drums are more evident than on the remix I remember inviting a girl from school over to study (as in, do our year 9 homework 📚) musta been late November maybe early Dec 83 we sat in the lounge room and I stuck the needle on the record for side A to play and went into the kitchen to make us a drink, most probably a passiona 😂 remember them? when she come running into the kitchen frantically saying, “it’s scratched it’s scratched, your record is scratched” ohh no I thought 😡 and went in to the good room to investigate turns out the record wasn’t scratched at all, “that’s just the beginning of the song I explained” and that relationship never came to anything, err how could it 🤷♂️ Let’s just say, I’m much more into umm, going with the flow, not being uptight and not flinching when I notice or hear the unusual I’ll never forget that story

Also loved the fact that they stuck New Religion on the B side
Coz once Arena was released, I owned two official live NR versions

I might actually prefer the b-side version.
