I recorded although not in any fancy way just with my phone for my own personal memories a lot of the show. I have to say wow and even that's not enough. Definitely in the top tier shows and I've been going for 25 years to have a variety I know that's not as long as some of you but I've been doing that instead of travel this is my main entertainment going to shows and holy crap was an awesome one.
I wrote some of my memories for my own personal thoughts possibly this might interest someone so I will share this.
The concert was excellent probably in the top percentage of shows I've ever seen. The band really seemed like they were having fun and the backup dancers and singers were excellent. They had very funny routines facial expressions choreography etc. The costumes were great.
At first I was a bit worried having seen setlists from other shows prior to the special Halloween one and wanting so bad to hear Missing and Confession which were played during some of the shows as well as Secret Oktober 31st. It seems likely the last one would be played considering the date but I wasn't sure about the others. Confession only played I believe once so far and missing not all the time. It looked at first like we were getting far into the total number of songs expected, and that they were doing some of the more perhaps popular ones and I was worried it was going to cater towards that instead of these maybe deeper cut songs. However they ended up doing not only those one after another but they additionally played Black Moonlight which I had wanted to hear very much too.
They opened with Masque (I think) and early on Danse Macabre, which I really enjoyed, and I got to hear everyone's favorite dad rap live which was awesome.
Other songs were surprises and very pleasant ones.
Simon said oops I almost f***** up now I'm not going to do that I'm going to do this instead. I don't know what it was he was going to do but he ended up playing Supernature which was really fun. We also heard Spellbound which was definitely a highlight. Love Voodou and Night Boat and NMOM were very good. The interesting arrangement for AVTAK (Bond theme) was good .
And for the non album songs I love Notorious and Union of the Snake and got to hear those. Of course they ended with Rio which I love, how can I not. I think I got to hear everything I had hoped for which was a lot more than I expected.
During the finale there was an enormous amount of confetti more than I've ever seen at any concert. we were covered in it. it was very fun. Somewhere in the middle of the show they had one of the girls throwing Werther's caramels into the audience. I caught two and had one during the show it was delicious even extra so because it was during all the Halloween surrounding.
Perhaps lastly but definitely not least of which in enjoyment, they had larger than human size puppet-dolls like a witch demon and something that look like Pennywise or Killer Klowns come out during the songs on the stage and menace the band it was hilarious.
When confession and missing played Simon had some crazy gigantic silvery headpiece which was fun.
We got the special perfume house offering which I didn't even look at it yet I don't know if it's cologne or perfume something like that I came with the VIP tickets. This was just an amazing time I'm so very glad we did it.
