What part of Orlando is it in? I used to live not too far from The Loop, and I wondered if they put it in the expansion they were doing. My mom told me about this when I was on the phone last week, and she asked me "What's the big deal? It's just a STORE!? " LMAO. She thought the people who'd camped out front were completely nuts. She liked the catalog they sent her, though. If I still lived there, I'd check it out once the newness wore off. As close as I've gotten to an IKEA here was a table someone gave us that we ended up selling for $40 at the flea market because we didn't have anywhere to put it. No one up here even had a clue what IKEA was-including my husband, LOL.

I believe Ikea is in Southwest Orlando, located next door to the Mall of Millenia.
I guess I'm officially an Ikea fan, I just spend 4 hours in the store today and can't wait to go back. I didn't buy any furniture but I did purchase some great kitchens items and a cute yellow crab pillow...lol.

My sister is an Ikea fanatic. When she moved out, she took me to Ikea with her to get some stuff for her apartment. She actually bought some books there that were going on some shelves in her apartment--nice, leather-bound jobbies. They were about $15 each. And written in Swedish/Norwegian/Finnish? Not sure. But I tried to tell her you could get those nice leather books at any thrift store for about a buck. On the other hand, they had rather large terra cotta pots for $1.83 each. I bought about ten of them. I wondered about those books. I wasn't sure if they sold them or not. I LOVE Ikea. I bought a buffet in the AS IS and nothing was wrong with it. It worked for me. Some day I do hope to move up to furniture I don't have to assemble.

The only issue I have with Ikea, other than having to drive about 2 hours to get to the closest one in Stoughton, MA, is the fact that they torture you with cinnamon bun smell while you wait to cash out!
I have a few Ikea pieces and lots of storage items and love them. You can't beat the prices.

I think the quickest we've made it around is in 2 hours since they added the second floor. LMAO Come to Stockholm, Sweden, and walk in the biggest IKEA-store in the world....55,200m2, with four floors. You could easily spend a whole day in there. In August, I was down in Sydney Australia... and the IKEA they have there is TINY compared to the ones we have here. (modified to add and corr. spell.err.)

Ikea gives me major stress! There is sooooo much to look at and it's always way too crowded for me. The few times I've gone I always leave with nothing and feel like I need to take a valium and go to bed! OOH don't get me started on the shopping carts, they are FuuuuuuN Ruth! NOOOO! I HATE those shopping carts! They go foward/backward and sideways! They're dangerous. I'm always bumping into people and displays - YIKES! There are soooo many reasons why I'm stressed when I leave Ikea??

I LOVE Ikea! I used to shop in the Lakeside one a lot when I lived in Dartford.
I'll be making the drive up i4 to go to the Orlando one before too long, I expect!
