The thought of going back is rather scary...I think I'll pass!

I would have the headmaster sign my diploma. Me and a friend decided to skip school early on graduation day......before diplomas could be signed by the headmaster, though it was signed by the principal. Oh, wait, a year after I graduated, the school closed down. Oh well.

I cannot imagine a much worse scenario than returning to high school. However, there is ONE thing I would do if I HAD to go. At graduation ceremonies, the parish Monsignor called out my name as salutatorian and he mispronouced it. My name is Penelope, as in the wife of Odysseus. He pronounced it so as to rhyme with cantalope. I was appalled by his ignorance. So I would have a little talk with him before the ceremony and instruct him in the proper pronunciation. Can you tell I've never forgiven him? ?? iami

I can't even be bothered to go to my 20 year reunion this summer. Mine's coming up this year too, and I'm taking a definite pass. I run into the woman who's planning it every so often, and I think she's under the impression that I'm kidding. I stayed in touch with the few people in my class I wanted to stay in touch with. I'm not going to suffer a few hours with the same Richardheads I couldn't stand 20 years ago.

I would love to go back and revisit my highschool job - I worked with this really nice, beautiful italian girl -unfortunately never went out, but we sure did flirt a lot - it was fun!

I find high school kids even more irritating now than I did then. I wouldn't go back if you paid me. A BIG ditto here!!

I would love to go back to my old high school for a day. Knowing what I know now, I have a few things to say to a few teachers and students. I had a horrible high school existence. Speaking of high school, I work at one now. I don't recall as a teenager, a huge amount of ignorance from my fellow classmates. Today's kids scare me with the amount of common sense things that they don't know. I showed a girl how to work the copy machine and she had this deer in the headlights look and said it was too hard to figure it out & could I just do it. I was like um, O-K, hmmm....All you do, is put the papers here and then push this big green button. How hard is that? I almost resorted to telling some of the kids, breathe in......ok, now breathe out. JEEZ!

I find it amusing that teenage cashiers cannot figure out how much to return to me when the cash machine goes on the fritz - without a calculator they are lost to determine the change owing if I pay $20 for items totalling $11.71
