A co-worker crossed the border from Canada to The US on Friday, I think she went for the weekend and to do a little shopping..
Here our big shopping crazed infected day is the day after Christmas called Boxing Day.. I sleep in and let the hubby get up at 5-6 am to go line up at a store.. I'll go with him in the afternoon.. It's the only day he'll get up early to go shopping.. lol
I feel sorry for all the people who have to work.. I'm surprized they have any hair left when finished..
Well Denise you got some exercise with all the bending you had to do.. Get your hubby to rub your feet and back!!

Having worked the Canadian Boxing Day, it truly makes you want to take a club to the entire lot of humanity. First one I did I was cash supervising and was there at 7 a.m., 1:30 rolls around and I still haven't had a 15 minute break. THe manager came down and told me to go before I dropped so I close my cash (the people in line were understanding) and once I finished the last person in line I started to walk away. Cue the beeaatch who walks up, TAKES DOWN MY CLOSE SIGN, turns my light back on and proceeds to unload 2 carts of stuff. I just waited with my arms crossed, leaning against the till, and when she finished she wals up and says, all snottily "Are you just going to stand there or actually do something?". So I said "Nope", turned off my light, walked around the the front and stuck the close sign on top of her pile. I then looked at her and said "I'm going for break. Feel free to wait." and left. Came back 2 hours later (since I had supervisory stuff I had to do after) and the pile of stuff was still there lol. Dumb beeaatch. See! THIS is why I totally dig you!

this is why i NEVER leave my house on the friday after thanksgiving. there is no $100 tv in the world that is worth that aggravation.
i stayed in my jammies, walked the dog, painted a picture for my Xmas card and played some guitar hero like a b*tch!
sorry for the bad experiences everyone!
i hate to hear about duranies having a bad day!

You couldn't have paid me cash money to go out to a mall on friday (not even a hundred dollar bill in my thong LOL)
Best place to be on Black Friday, the super market. Thats where most people usually arent.

I really sympathize with everyone who works retail during Christmas. I did it one year. I mostly dealt with great nice people (it was at Borders). I was very lucky. I would never do it again. I am stunned by the selfishness of customers. I'll never understand why people can't pick up after themselves. I don't understand what most of what customers do. Expect workers to bend over backwards for them. Expect workers to pick up after them. Expect workers to work through breaks. Then many are rude. I'm glad there's a thing called online shopping. .

I thank god all the time that I do not work retail anymore. But I must be a glutton for punishement because I was one of the people shopping at 5 am with my sister. We have started the, "I don't work in retail anymore shopping day get-to-gether." LOL We did get some great bargans though and my wallet is empty. Boohoo!
