I agree - I'd be more startled than scared. The same thing happens to me in Florida with the little lizards. I'm not really afraid of them, but when they scurry around or end up in the kitchen I get startled.

I can totally relate! I had a similar experience with a Possum. Have you ever seen one of those? They look like the devil and it scared the living shit out of me. The grill hadn't been used in a long time and it had built a nest! My husband chased it away and I never used that grill again! I just couldn't!
Your mouse, however, is a real cutie!

Awwwwww! Cute little mousie! I think I have a small red squirrel living in mine. As long as he vacates before spring and the first ceremonial grilling of the year and he doesn't chew up the wires of the igniter, I'm fine with it. Better than them in the attic!

Mice can also carry the Hantavirus and other diseases. Although I do admit that is a cute brown mouse.
