80s synth-pop outfit OMD have reunited and announced a string of concerts in May.
The band's original 1980s line-up are back on board, namely Andy McLuskey, Paul Humphreys, Malcolm Holmes and Martin Cooper. They will release a double pack CD and DVD of the digitally remastered 'Architecture & Morality' on 30 April. This will be followed by a string of concerts in which they will perform their hit 1981 album.
OMD also intend to record an album of new material in 2007, and are in the early stages of organising a 2008 collaboration with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

I've been watching feverishly for US dates for a while now.
I just downloaded their recent set at the Nokia Night of the Proms... they still sound great.
Bring on the new goods!

They're a band I always felt I didn't pay enough attention to, even though my best friend in high school was a huge fan. Maybe now's the time to fix that.
