I must be a mean mom. My daughter is 9 and doesn't do message boards. She's allowed on some web sites, but not message boards. She's not allowed on it without me with her. Thats the one thing I am extremely strict about. She doesn't even know her login password, only I do. Messageboards are no joke. |

I think that's really awesome that you're helping her talk with other kids, Tammy. It sounds very cute, and what I wouldn't have given when I was 8 to find other kids who shared my obsessions!
Nonetheless, I'm glad I'm not the one with the steady diet of Hannah Montana.... *g*

Can I just say, at least you watch your child on the computer! You're a good mommy! So many parents don't and then they blame everyone on line when their kids are kidnapped and abused!

I think that's really awesome that you're helping her talk with other kids, Tammy. It sounds very cute, and what I wouldn't have given when I was 8 to find other kids who shared my obsessions! Nonetheless, I'm glad I'm not the one with the steady diet of Hannah Montana.... *g* The board is a little snippy, teenagers and all, but all in all it's fun. I just want her to get used to using the internet "safely". She already knows NOT to tell ANYONE her personal info. She's learning proper forum etiquette also.  |
