I don't know how you can stand that! I will be careful not to spoil anything for you.
I started reading them a few months before HBP came out and devoured them. I have since been through each book at least 2 dozen times. I'm a complete junkie.

Or....I get the English version from the library Or... I won't open any threads on this forum for a while (I will be on holidays a week after the UK/USA release...so I will see what I do, when I come back!)

I am both happy and sad...simply because this will be the end.
It took me about three weeks to finish HBP and I actually managed to avoid finding out the ending until I read it! I will have to avoid all threads again when this one comes out.

Wonder when we'll start hearing about leaked copies and trucks of books being stolen and swiped copies showing up on ebay before July 21 - not to mention the people on the Usenet groups who claim to work in a bookstore and have read the book while it's been sitting in the back, waiting to be put on sale!
Astrid & Peckish, I think the adult version is minus the illustrations, and has a different cover as Ivy said.
Should all be very exciting! This sort of huge cultural event doesn't happen every day...

I am very sad, as I do not want it to end. To my knowledge, there are at least four different North American English covers for each book. It totally bites. In the US, there are two versions: the Mary Grandpre covers come in both the hardback and paperback editions. The mass market paperbacks have a totally different cover. In Canada (possibly the same as the UK editions) they classify the covers as Adult and children's editions. I think it would be sweet to score a set of the Canadian Adult covers but they are either sold out on chapters.ca or well over a few hundred bucks. It pisses me off to no end that there are so many covers. How am I supposed to buy them all???
