Yup - releasing the album in the US on 9/11: just ANOTHER fabulous marketing decision by whoever is making these decisions for the band. That's for sure. And as I posted in the other thread, since all albums are released on a Tuesday in the US, this will be the first year since 2001 that 9/11 is on a Tuesday.

iami-it wouldn't surprise me at all if Sony's decided to have Justin tour with DD, he's much much hotter than they are right now, and I don't think DD would have much choice in the matter. They probably figure they'll sell a lot more tickets if Justin's there than otherwise.
Will Justin's tour be over by September?

Well, sis, the problem there is that an audience full of Justin fans would be the worst thing for DD even if it means a solid sellout tour. Young folks bore quickly, and since they won't know the words to songs like "Careless Memories" or "Planet Earth", what you'll have is an audience where 75% of the people will be talking, yelling, and otherwise ignoring DD when the band is performing any song other than the one they did with Justin. Some of them might even get rude with the band, or try to jam their way up front when Justin is onstage. It could get ugly.
Plus I'd hate to see DD be Justin's support act. That would be really sad...
Andy got out just in time. I can't see him standing for it, frankly.

DD to support Justin? I doubt it...well i just hope not. It'd be a disaster for DD. Supporting an ACT followed by screaming teenagers...the idea makes me cringe. The embarassment. I don't mind Justin's music and i think he's a cute lad...but collaborating with him is one thing...being the support band for his shows is another thing. GOSH i HOPE they see the light.

I can see it now, raging hormones of middle aged women and teen girls all fighting for the front row.

I can see it now, raging hormones of middle aged women and teen girls all fighting for the front row. if it comes to that, I pity those poor Justin fans! Duranies have 20+ years experience, the kids won't stand a chance...

justin is touring in the states now. i doubt anyone will want duran to be the opening act for justin... although if it ever happened - the crowd isn't what you would imagine. we just saw him live and it was a mixed crowd. there wasn't too much estogen flying. not nearly as crazy as a 1984 DD concert.

prncspeach. Perhaps the mixed crowd is due in part to almost as many people being there for Pink, as there are for Justin?

@ Maz - you could be right, but everyone stayed there were men in the crowd it seemed like there were a lot of 20 somethings, some thirties, and a few teenagers i expected a total screamfest nightmare, but it was great it helped that some nice person allowed us to squinch into the vip area, so maybe we didn't get the full effect? it was really ok
