There was a post here yesterday which featured an article with John Taylor talking about how he veto'd filming any Power Station show.
Well we have the Live Aid footage, SNL footage, and let's not forget their appearance on the best cop show ever - MIAMI VICE
Here's the 5 minutes the Power Station were on for, too bad no Andy lines........but John did pretty good....

Call me geek. I own Miami Vice season 1 & 2 on DVD... seasons 3 & 4 are available on March 20. You can pre-order on Amazon now. This clip is from season 2 by the way. : )

Awful. John does a good job with his limited lines, but he and Andy look completely strung out. And the less said about the bombastic Michael DesBarres' vulgar sub-Jaggerseque performance the better.
Robert Palmer, R.I.P.

I remember seeing that same episode when it aired, I remember becoming all giddy when I saw Power Station LOL.

Oh FUNNY!! A bar fight, John Taylor, and Don Johnson and his pink shirt & white pants. Is there anything better! (she says in a snarky manner) It was a good 4minute escape from work so thanks anyway for that!

I'd just commented on the YouTube page that I have a live version of "Still in Your Heart," and Michael does no justice to it at all - it was AWFUL.

Yeah - too bad Robert Palmer screwed John/Andy and Tony and refused to tour. Not sure who else they could have used at the time - definitely not Simon LeBon (snicker!) - maybe Paul Young?

haha, Miami Vice, the show that summed up the 80's. Lots of good memories.

I don't think Robert screwed them over. He never intended to stay with them long enough. I think he had commitments to his solo album.

Dani if I remember correctly I think you are right. I did manage to see them on tour, it wasnt bad but Palmer would have been much better!
