I just got Notorious (the red/white/black one in paperback) from Shaggy and got to page 67. I like reading about the early years and the quotes. I'll probably love the part about the 90s as well because i lost track of DD in that period.

I borrowed it from a friend and read it in one afternoon. I was a tad disappointed in the book as a whole, although enjoyed reading about the early music scene in the UK.

I'd agree that the first part of the book about their formative years and the Birmingham music scene is the best part. I've read numerous articles about the band and although there was nothing majorly revelatory in this book, there were still things I'd never read before, and it's an enjoyable, easy read for a DD fan.
