As a result of hearing of Victoria's departure on Y&R, I wonder what kind of effect it will have on the current storyline.

I hated that they fired Eileen D. They should have found somehting good for her to do like bust Gloria for the cream incident.
But as for Victoria Rowell I guess they will find her guilty? That is too bad.

I was sad to hear of Darlene's death. I loved her character of Sally. I wonder what Brad Bell will do with that storyline.
I just hope the Dru/Carmen storyline comes to an end soon. I am soo tried of it. I think the problem with Y&R lately is the revolving door in the writer's room.

In shocking Y&R news, Victoria Rowell (Dru) is leaving Genoa City. A spokesperson for the actress confirms that Rowell requested to be let out of her contract early and the show obliged. Her last day is April 1, 2007. This isn't the first time the actress, who joined Y&R in 1990, has exited the show. She left in 1998, returned briefly in 2000, then re-joined in 2002

Wow, what happened? I never thought they would get rid of her and yet fire her. How sad! I think we are a year or 2 behind the states in episodes.

I never thought they would get rid of her and yet fire her. How sad! I think we are a year or 2 behind the states in episodes. I think it's like someone else mentioned, there are new writers and they didn't really know what to do with Ashley. Even Eileen Davidson said she didn't like the way Ashley was anymore. She used to be a strong, confident business woman and she turned into a wishy-washy wimp lately. Hopefully Bradley Bell can breathe some life back into the character and she can shake up LA. I wonder if the little girl who played Abby will return with her. She could be friends with Hope and Alexandria. I'm kinda surprised about Victoria Rowell asking out of her contract. Maybe she's had to pass up TV and movie offers. I know she was hoping Shermar Moore would return during his hiatus to wrap up the Lily Paternity story. And where the hell are Olivia and Nate? Remember when Nate used to all but babysit Lily?!?! I know when Malcolm returned they said Nate went to boarding school to get over losing Malcolm when he supposedly died in Africa. And how is it Lily and Daniel are still only 18 while Colleen who was supposed to be Lily's age is now over 20?!? In fact, if anyone should be over 20 it should be Daniel because he was supposed to be older than them. And I'm sure it's been more than three years since Kevin was supposed to have given Lily an STD! The writers think fans don't remember little details like ages of kids but they do! I was really sorry to learn of Darlene Conley's passing. I LOVED the character of Sally Spectra, especially when she was dressing up as men to sneak into Forrester Creations and get into places she wasn't allowed to go. I even remember her as Rose Deville on Y&R when she was supposed to have stolen Nina's baby. Too bad they had to drop that storyline. Hopefully they'll write her death into the storyline the way they did when her beloved Saul died in real life. It will likely take a while as they tape many weeks in advance. The scenes they're showing on Guiding Light with Jonathan were wrapped before the show went on Christmas break! |
